I was a bit of a wild child. I had a past. I had gotten into trouble. All that was behind me, though. And for the first time in my life, trouble had found me. When the other private investigators wouldn't help me, I found the huge, hulking Tig willing to lend his expertise. What I didn't expect was the growing attraction between us or the crazy series of events that would put our budding relationship to the test.

#14books14weeks

Inspired by everyone‘s posts (and encouraged by @Ruthiella 🤪) I‘m giving this a go!

I‘m away at the moment so can‘t pull books off my shelves to take a photo. 8 of these are physical books (3 of which I may just have bought on holiday! 😜) and the rest are digital ARCs due for publication in June / July. And, of course, #camplitsy25 plays a big part too!

Looking forward to it! ❤️

Liz_M Virtual stacks work! Lots of intriguing titles here, too. 49m

I have a million library holds so who knows if I‘ll get through all of these, but here is my stack for #14Books14Weeks. From my shelves and one library book. 📚

@Liz_M

Liz_M I loved Expendable Man and I really want to read Calculation of Volume. Nice stack! 4h
Ruthiella If you read just one, that‘s a win! 👍 3h
TheKidUpstairs Such a good stack. Wide Sargasso Sea is one of my all time faves, and I loved The Penelopiad! 3h

sarahbarnes I Who Have Never Known Men is so good! I really liked Trust, too. 5h
Liz_M @sarahbarnes I was so intrigued by the title of I Who Have ... and then it got some Litsy love. Also Trust, because NYC setting. (edited) 5h
Ruthiella Good strategy to have a couple shorter titles to balance out the longer ones! 3h
ncsufoxes I liked Trust, I started Martyr! (really liked it) but I had to return it to the library & haven‘t gotten back to it. 2h
Liz_M @ncsufoxes Marytr! might be the book that has been recommended to me the most! 43m

I know myself, with #CampLitsy25 on its way and probably #CampToB25 (why hasn‘t it been announced yet?!) and the upcoming #Booker longlist I know I‘ll keep changing my reading plans. So to make it doable I chose the shortest books on my TBR shelves for #14Books14Weeks. Looking forward to reading all of these!

Bookwormjillk I loved Mina‘s Matchbox. So different from her others. 5h
sarahbarnes So many of these I want to read, too! Great stack and a great plan! 😊 5h

Between #authoramonth and #bookclub selections and #camplitsy I filled out most of my list for #14books14weeks & just needed a couple more from my TBR.

TheBookHippie I gotta get my list together! 2d

It‘s Labor Day weekend here, so my #14Books14Weeks is over. I didn‘t finish the stack I originally picked out, but I did get through 8 of 14, which is pretty good for me. (I‘m generally great at planning far out, but really bad at sticking to it, LOL).

I‘m going to keep working at it though and try to get the other 6 finished up yet this year, most have been languishing on my shelves way too long already.

Thanks for the challenge motivation!
