My first book for #Scarathlon2022 was this collection of “the only 13 true ghost stories”. These classic tales were delightfully creepy. Appropriate for BRAVE children of any age, they made me shiver. The writing lacked something, especially the 3 in verse in my opinion, because these stories are really meant to be retold, not read. But the book does have awesome creepy digital art accompanying each story that you‘d miss out on with oral versions.

This picture book, targeted to middle grade readers, has lots of scares and fantastic illustrations. It is made up the “only thirteen true ghost stories in this world.” I read one of these to one of my 7th grade classes last week, and they were transfixed. They loved it and asked for more.

With my audiobook this morning and finishing this one tonight, I have almost 2.5 hours in for #24b4Monday!

We are doing a storytelling project and reading scary stories at school, so I bought some more to add to my #classroomlibrary. Kids always love the Scary Stories series, but I‘m excited about the tagged illustrated hardcover. The art is amazing.

Clwojick 😍these are stunning! 😱 5y
