Things I learned while reading The Terror...
I was worried this Audible original wouldn't translate to an ebook, but it was delightful! I mean, as delightful as it can be when it's about living in an ongoing capitalist apocalypse hahaha
Anyway, glad it's apparently the start of a series.
Meanwhile, this was an Audible original, so let's see how it goes as an ebook!
Started out as a sort of rom com with a robot. Ended up as spy book? Not really sure about genre but it was fun.
6 books in June! My favourite was hands down The AI Who Loved Me - and I did love Deep Secret once I adjusted to the idea of a magical world with fax machines...
Going back to work, on-site - has certainly impacted on my ability to read... I feel like June was spent in a cloud of exhaustion! Fingers crossed for better sleep and some excellent reads in July!
3.5/5
Trinity develops a crush on her new neighbor who unbeknownst to her isn't human at all. But as they get to know each other, Trinity starts remembering some secrets from her past.
This was originally an audible original, but I read the ebook form. I liked the story, but definitely got the sense that it was missing something from the audio performance. I'm still excited to see how this world is expanded in future books.
Cooler temperatures and little spells of rain make for weeds. And that means lots of time for audio books! 👩🏻🌾
Yesterday's listen was the absolutely fabulous The A. I. Who Loved Me. What a fun adventure! My first Alyssa Cole and definitely won't be my last. Today it's back to #great2020parasolversedoover and
Soulless. ☂️

Skynet is real, y'all! Trinity is pleasantly surprised when her new fine neighbor moved in. Li has one mission..to get in them pants. I was foolish and thought this was a silly little book, but there is some smart world building and character development going on here. I, for one, look forward to meeting my future robot boyfriend.
Alyssa Cole is one of my favorite romance writers--she does everything!--so it was no surprise that I absolutely loved The A. I. Who Loved Me. This science fiction romance focuses on the romance between Trinity Jordan, who is a virtual driver confined to her home after an accident severely injured her knee, and Li Wei, the mysterious nephew of Trinity's neighbor who is . . . also recovering from an injury(?). ⬇️
Why are there commercials in my audiobook?
Second book done for #24b42020 Readathon! This was a fun short audiobook with an excellent cast. A rare sci-fi romantic comedy with some action thrown in. Part of #audibleescape too. #TBRReads #WinterGames #TeamElectricSex
