This is my last personal post to close out #wintergames. I still have some #teamelectricsex stuff to post.

I had two timers, one for print one for audiobook so I had 6 1/2 hours total for #24b42020. +65

Only 1 holiday movie +6

And 6 books I have not had a chance to write a review for yet (tomorrow probably). +155

=226

kezzlou85 Thank you for your christmas card. It clearly had a rough journey but I loved the bookmarks. ❤😀 2w

I cut my timer out yesterday so my final time was just over 25 hours. I hit my 24 hour goal though so I'm happy. #WinterGames #TeamElectricSex @Clwojick @StayCurious @LibrarianRyan @Andrew65 @TheReadingMermaid @jb72

My Man Jeeves | P. G. Wodehouse
post image
Pickpick

I really enjoy Wodehouse. This is the first book that introduces readers to Wooster and Jeeves. It contains several shorter stories about various episodes while living in New York. Inevitably, a friend of Wooster's has a problem and eventually it is Jeeves with the solution. Easy reading (or listen in this case) and humorous. #impulseread

Marina_h I read 38 books but there was some short ones in that bunch. 14.of them were on my TBR and yes there were some new authors. I discovered Matt Haig during the winter games. I liked reading all the #Holidayreads and also watching #HolidayMovies. Had I had more time during December I would have watched some more 😊 2w
bullbunny Sadly no. There was 2. This year yes, this month.. no since I didn't accomplish what I set out to read. Just a bunch of various random things. Favorite thing finding the memes there was some funny ones! 2w
kezzlou85 I read 17 books in December. Most were on my TBR and I discovered Leigh Bardugo, whom I'd heard of but never read. I really enjoyed the which elf would you be and the short questions like these. Been lots of fun. 2w

sblbooks 18 books, some had multiple short stories...All were on my TBR, I have a Christmas tag on GR...I think it was 10 new to me authors... favorite tags would be holiday reads and holiday movies. 2w
Nessavamusic 1. 17 Books 2. 7 3. Yes 3 new to me 4. The games were fun, but I enjoyed celebrating the holidays with books and film 2w
LibrarianRyan have not counted. All but 2, Yes: many of the Gas, I liked the commerady and the felling of everyone sharing in something. 2w

kezzlou85 I liked the modern setting and giving him a job in an industry that's more recognizable to us all. Made it a bit more relevant 2w
sblbooks I'm old school, I prefer to stay true to the original. 2w
Laughterhp It was an interesting take, but I prefer the original. 2w
LibrarianRyan @kezzlou85 @sblbooks @laughterhp I grew up with this version, and the George C scott version (I think I have that right), and every year when stateside or close by my grandmother would have me take her to what ever version was playing at the school theater. This was always funny, while others felt boring and drawn out. 2w

bullbunny To make it more personable, because the younger brother figure always looks up to the older brother. So in turn if they had such a great relationship. The older brother would want to not be a burden to his younger brother, once they realize what needs to change. 2w
kezzlou85 I think it added depth to his character. He was an only child for so long then along came this brother. It also shows why his brother keeps trying every year. 2w
sblbooks Not sure, Bill Murray's character was much younger than the original Ebenezer, so a nephew would have been too young probably. 2w
Laughterhp I think it made it more personal of a story. I agree with @sblbooks Scrooge was much younger in this and in the modern world I don‘t think a nephew would try so hard to get an uncle into the Christmas spirit. 2w

sblbooks He seems like a cross between a bad Bob Cratchit and the portly gentleman. Grace is the good version of cratchit. 2w

bullbunny Probably the ghost of Christmas future. Wasn't a talker ever. And always a dark ominous thing 2w
kezzlou85 Definitely the ghost of christmas future. He was still the dark and slightly creepy character. 2w
sblbooks I agree, the Ghost of Christmas future. 2w
Laughterhp Definitely the ghost of Christmas future. I couldn‘t stand the present ghost. 2w
