I started this book not knowing much about it, but it completely surpassed my initial expectations. It is an extremely clever retelling of Tristan and Isolde with multi-layered, interesting and relatable characters, and a story world I want to read more about.
I'll be continuing this series for sure!

I bought this for literally no reason other than the pretty cover and it was $2.99. My expectations were very low, but I was pleasantly surprised. The world building was interesting, I liked quite a few of the characters and there were some twists. I have some unanswered questions but it was Fun, easy fantasy.
I think this puts me at about 23 hours? #27hours7days @KristenDuck

I loved Tristan and Isolde, so when this popped up (that cover!! to die for!!!) I had no option but to read it. A loose retelling of the romantic tragedy, this book was so beautiful in its imagery and character building that I nearly forgot that truly sad things were inevitable outside of the romantic struggles my little avian babies were facing.. the ending hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. Definite pick for 2020.
