Hadley Beckett's Next Dish
Hadley Beckett's Next Dish | Bethany Turner
12 posts | 10 read | 6 to read
Celebrity chef Maxwell Cavanagh is known for many things: his multiple Michelin stars, his top-rated Culinary Channel show To the Max, and most of all his horrible temper. Hadley Beckett, host of the Culinary Channel's other top-rated show, At Home with Hadley, is beloved for her Southern charm and for making her viewers feel like family. When Max experiences a very public temper tantrum, he's sent packing to get his life in order. When he returns, career in shambles, his only chance to get back on TV and in the public's good graces is to work alongside Hadley. As these polar-opposite celeb chefs begin to peel away the layers of public persona and reputation, they will not only discover the key ingredients for getting along, but also learn the secret recipe for unexpected forgiveness . . . and maybe even love. In the meantime, hide the knives. Fan-favorite Bethany Turner serves up a heaping helping of humor and romance with this thoroughly modern story centered on cooking, enemies, and second chances.

I really enjoyed this #LMPBC pick (can't believe it's the final book for this round!!), although I felt like it took a little too long for the male MC to get out of “jerk mode“ - it made it hard for me to root for them as a couple. As usual, I feel like my Pantone color matches better in real life than on the screen 😂

@robinb - It will probably be early next week when I send this one back to you!! @DanaManiac @kimmypete1

robinb Wow…you‘re on the ball!! I haven‘t started mine yet! 😂😂 Glad you enjoyed this one (and yes, agree with jerk mode). 🙄 This author has another couple of books I‘ve enjoyed as well. 3y
Roary47 I agree this round is #LMPBC went so fast! Must have been the amazing selections we had. 😊💛 3y
TheAromaofBooks @robinb - Well, I was SO behind last month that I moved this one to the top of my reading priority list 😂 I will have to check out Tuner's other books!! 3y
Clwojick Great match! 3y

Ack! My #WeeklyForecast is a little out of control!! All of February's books got added to my windowsill and now things are somewhat crazy! 😂 I still have a few carryovers from January, including two #TBRDeckofCards, a #22booksin22 read, an ARC (my current read), and one for #52Books. I've added in a whole pile of “assignments“ which I know stresses some people out but I actually love it. The main catch is always if some of these, which are ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) first books in a series like From Blood & Ash, The Guinevere Deception, The Lightning Thief, Scythe, Of Curses & Kisses, and the Bridgerton books... lost my train of thought... basically, if any of these are any good, then the entire series goes into the windowsill, and that's where things will REALLY start to get crazy 😂 The sticky note are the ebooks on my TBR. I'm actually feeling really good about this pile as a lot of these have ⬇ 3y
TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) been lingering forever!! It feels so good to get them checked off that it makes me excited about reading them. This actually doesn't include my chapter-a-day books of David Copperfield, Ivanhoe, The Golden Road, & An Old-Fashioned Girl 😆 The tagged book is going to be my next read - it's February's #LMPBC and I'm determined to not be late this month like I was in January!!!

This was a super cute and lighthearted book! I actually read along to the audiobook so that I could continue while at the gym and while doing chores. I just dropped it off at the post office and it‘s en route to you @kimmypete1 #LMPBC

This was my pick for #LMPBC, and I really enjoyed it! I won‘t go into details (no spoilers for my group), but it‘s a sweet romance centered around two renowned chefs (think Gordon Ramsay) and the issues they have to overcome to get to their HEA. ❤️ 4.25/5⭐️

PS. I‘ve read one other book from this author and loved it as well.

@DanaManiac I‘ll get this in the mail to you later this week, if that‘s OK?

TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I'm looking forward to this one!! 3y
robinb @TheAromaofBooks Hope you enjoy! 3y

Since it got fairly good reviews and since I‘ve read another book by this author that I loved, I‘m going to go with the tagged book. It sounds like a cute rom-com. 😊

Hope that‘s OK with all?

A Hallmark Christmas movie but if it were done by Food Network.

Sometimes I need a simple, palate cleansing, cute story that's light and without much resistance or conflict. We know how it ends, we know what to expect and there's comfort in that laid back, easy read. This books is definitively that. I really enjoyed watching Hadley and Max play out.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nute I love a simple story from time to time.☺️ 3y

I really enjoyed this fun and clean hate to love romantic comedy. Set in the celebrity chef world, this story was full of growth, romantic tension, and delicious dishes.

Calling all cooking show fans! You're bound to have tons of fun in the kitchen with this new release. Two polar-opposite rival chefs, one kitchen, and a reality cooking show. What could go wrong? 😉

Max Cavanaugh is a man you love to hate, the epitome of a jerk combined with anger and substance abuse issues. Meanwhile Hadley Beckett is the poster girl for an easy going the Southern sweetheart.
The story line is fresh and funny. At times Max and Hadley's interactions were laugh out loud funny. They are required to work together after their disastrous competition which makes for the interesting story.

As book marketers, we have the VERY hard job of reading ARCs early to find good quotes for social media graphics. . . 😝

Just kidding, it's one of the best parts of our job! The only hard part is when there are too many excellent quotes to choose from.
