Only took 3 months for my signed, limited/numbered Goldsboro UK edition to make it across the pond to me. My collection is now officially complete. 💜💜

Mitch Yeah!💕 3y
MsMelissa Better late than never, right? 😊 3y
DGRachel @Book_Fiend_Melissa Totally! But I admit I‘m a bit disappointed - I stalked their website to preorder and the day it hit website, a week (or two) before it hit their newsletter, I preordered. My edition is #106. I have #18 of The Black Khan and #81 of The Blue Eye. I don‘t think they filled the orders in the order in which they were received. 😔 3y
MsMelissa I totally understand. Last year I took part in a Kickstarter by one of my favourite authors, Michael J. Sullivan. My books were supposed to arrive last April. But the pandemic messed with the shipping and nobody outside of the US has their books yet. I‘ve been assured the books due to Canadians are currently in Customs, so fingers crossed I don‘t have to wait too much longer 🤞🏻 3y

My final book arrived today - love it when the publisher doesn‘t mess about with the series so they all match! It‘s important! 🤣

Scochrane26 I really like my book series to match. 3y
Mitch @Scochrane26 me too! And I have a few that are odd sizes, odd fonts and a really different aesthetic! It‘s a pet peeve! 3y
DGRachel They look so pretty together. My only quibble is that the front cover of The Bloodprint has a white background where the background on the front cover of the others matches the spine. 3y
Mitch @DGRachel I agree! Glad your signed copy finally turned up! 3y

The conclusion to this series was by far the best of the four books. I couldn‘t share quotes when I read it because I had an ARC, not a finished copy, but now...this one made me sit a little taller in my chair. Happy Friday, Litsy! 😘

Forgive my fangirl moment, but I‘m in Ausma‘s acknowledgements again. 😭😭 I literally started crying when I saw it in the ARC, but didn‘t want to share in case it was cut from the final version. It‘s in the finished copy. 💖😭💖😭💖

Freespirit That‘s so good😊 4y

Happy Book Birthday to my favorite book in the fantasy series by my favorite contemporary author! The Bladebone was a perfect ending to an enjoyable series. 💖 (please forgive the ARC in the picture - my preorder hasn‘t arrived yet)

Sweetkokoro I have the first book in this series, I haven‘t read it yet, but it does sound good. I do though wish they kept the original idea of the covers for books 3 and 4. I like the buildings on the covers more. These look like two different series when all together and I actually thought that when I originally saw the ones with the person on it. 4y
DGRachel @Sweetkokoro I can understand that. At least they kept the same font, so they still coordinate nicely from the spines, and I know the author was excited to feature her two main heroines, first Sinnia and then Arian on these US covers. 4y

Pickpick

The was the perfect conclusion to Khan's epic fantasy series. Her skill grows with each book and I was completely immersed in the world of Khorasan, invested in the fate of the characters and cities. This series is criminally underrated.
Full (and lengthy) review on my blog: https://tailsfromthedogside.blog/2020/09/26/review-the-bladebone/
On shelves in the US on October 6th and the UK October 15th.

Dilara Well, I hadn't heard of Ausma Zehanat Khan before. The Khorasan Archives series sound very interesting. It's gone into my wishlist! Thanks! 4y
DGRachel @Dilara I hope you enjoy. The first book is The Bloodprint (they really should be read in order). 4y
DGRachel @Dilara She also has a mystery series featuring a Canadian Muslim detective and his female partner. It‘s really good, too. The first book there is The Unquiet Dead. 4y
Dilara @DGRachel Thanks, I'll check them out when I can 😁 4y

I‘m literally sitting here in tears. Ausma not only was serious about sending me her ARC of S.A. Chakraborty‘s Kingdom of Copper, but she sent me an inscribed copy of Private Investigations (she has an essay in there) and an ARC of the final book in her Khorasan Archives series (also inscribed to me). I love her. She‘s a gifted writer and an amazing human being. 💖💖 The tagged book will be my next read.

Aahhhh! You all know by now that AZK is my favorite contemporary author. Mind you, I‘d never dare “remind her” to send me the ARC of S.A. Chkraborty‘s Kingdom of Copper, but just the fact that she offered!😭💖😭 If bookstore signings and air travel ever become a thing again, I‘m taking vacation days and flying to wherever she is to finally meet her in person. Heck, I‘ll take a week and drive. I don‘t care.
