The story jumps right in after the prologue without much character development, which made it hard to get into at first. I love a good story about deep family bonds, and all the magic made it better! Anne‘s self righteousness made me so mad at the end, she played just as big a part. Overall a warm, cozy read. Book #106 in 2024

Not bad.
In a town of Oak Ridge, the home of the A-bomb in WWII, Dr. Bill Brockton and team comes across a body in Ice, the victim is Dr. Novak. During the autopsy, they discover he died of a searing dose of radiation, and everyone in the room is in grave danger...
Now to figure out where it came from and why

Loved this book! It reminded me of Maureen Johnson‘s books, but better. And I really liked the Truly Devious Trilogy! Maybe it‘s because I just finished this one? I don‘t know. Anyway it‘s really good! And now I have another series to read!!! #106 #BookSpinBingo #9 and a BINGO! #SERIES2021 #THEROYALREADATHON Death #HSREADATHON #8 #TAISandTALESforADULTS #33

Only took 3 months for my signed, limited/numbered Goldsboro UK edition to make it across the pond to me. My collection is now officially complete. 💜💜

Mitch Yeah!💕 4y
MsMelissa Better late than never, right? 😊 4y
DGRachel @Book_Fiend_Melissa Totally! But I admit I‘m a bit disappointed - I stalked their website to preorder and the day it hit website, a week (or two) before it hit their newsletter, I preordered. My edition is #106. I have #18 of The Black Khan and #81 of The Blue Eye. I don‘t think they filled the orders in the order in which they were received. 😔 4y
MsMelissa I totally understand. Last year I took part in a Kickstarter by one of my favourite authors, Michael J. Sullivan. My books were supposed to arrive last April. But the pandemic messed with the shipping and nobody outside of the US has their books yet. I‘ve been assured the books due to Canadians are currently in Customs, so fingers crossed I don‘t have to wait too much longer 🤞🏻 4y

Solid book of short Sherlockian pastiches. A couple of weaker ones, but most are really authentic in Watson's voice. "Gnarled Beeches" was my fave (bc I'm a sucker for a canon call-back).

(quarantine book #106; read a mystery)

#106 I am a huge fan of Brigid Quinn and I can‘t wait to devour this book!

Caffeinated_Reader Well there was a lot to process with this one. Such a tail spinning read. Some of her sentences leave me thinking about them for weeks, that‘s one of my favorite things about Mastermans writing style. Also I‘m a huge Brigid Quinn fan, she‘s witty and tuff and even her temperament is perfect. I need to buy the 4th one still but I‘m definitely looking forward to reading it! 5y
