Taking a break from my nonfiction reading, with some fresh new (to me) graphic novels ❤

In one of my book groups they are having a graphic novel/comic month so I'm enjoying branching out to new series. This has to be my favorite so far that I've read. I can't wait to see what happens in the next few volumes.

My intro to marvel came via these The Runaways volumes ❤

Today‘s book mail came in the form of a comic. Just finished the series‘ 1st season on Hulu and immediately ordered the original comic so I could start at the beginning. Loving it so far!

The library strikes again! Just missing volume one which I should be able to borrow from work (if I can find it)

I just read this today and I didn't know what to expect going in since I've never heard of this series. I was very pleasantly surprised! I loved the story and the artwork was amazing as well.

Saw that Hulu is making this comic into a show and I'm super exited. Hoping it turns out well!!

So, this story is very cool. Love it -- as does my son, clearly a reader of discerning taste. While new to me, & on my radar because of Rainbow Rowell's new edition, Runaways has been around (& popular) for some time. I see why. Six kids discover their parents are part of a secret criminal organization. They run away & try to stay one step ahead of their parents & corrupt officials as they plot to defeat their parents. Who wouldn't? A fun read.

I'm going with pick even though I still think I like the Manga experience better (there's a difference and I'm just not capable of articulating it.)

My husband's recommendation. I'm not really a comic fan. Maybe this will help me appreciate them more.

Another winner from Brian K. Vaughan. I would recommend this series to young teens (11-14) and older teens (15-17) who want to get into comics.

This was so much fun. I don't want to spoil it so I'll just say I didn't expect what happened in the end. I have already put Volume 2 on hold. 5⭐️ #ilovethelibrary #wishihadreadcomicsasachild
