Asaf and Tomer Hanuka have created a visually stunning comic in The Divine. Every panel is gorgeous, even at its most gory. And trust me it gets gorey. This is my 'D' title for the LitsyAtoZ challenge and it was over too fast. Boaz Lavie did a wonderful job creating a script that was interesting and paced well. I just wish it had been longer!
pickI enjoyed this one (despite my copy missing about 4 pages in the middle lol)! It was neat to find out in the note at the end that some of the characters are based on real people. I do feel like it could've explored its pretty serious themes in a bit of a more deep and nuanced way, but altogether it wasn't bad!
Someone tore whole pages out of this library book!!!! 😲😧😡They did it really subtly too... it's hard to even tell until you realize the narrative doesn't make sense. I have never encounter this before! It shocked me.
Now they're up! Katniss and Cinna decided to join me again for the #24in48 readathon. It's only 9:25 here and I just brewed coffee so I have a few more hours to go before I'll turn in for the night. I'm switching over to this graphic novel for a bit while I wait for the caffeine to kick in 😸
