Extremely gory with a serial killer who makes human jigsaw pieces of his victims with an almost identical likeliness to Hannibal Lector.
It was good, not great. The charmingly personal yet chilling serial killer has been done to death now (no pun intended), and no one has executed it quite like Thomas Harris.
As a former prison officer, I can confirm that the prison scenes were ridiculous. Those scenes ruined it for me. Also, it was far too long.

Decent thriller, though I could have used one fewer cop stereotypes in the main characters lol. I will definitely check out more by this author.

A really great serial killer thriller! Set in London with a great protagonist and plenty of action. The next book in the series is due out this year, and I will definitely be reading it immediately!

🎧 I enjoyed the story but the performer drove me bonkers! She underpreformed and every time a character would speak it was like she had to emphasize an inhale. Almost like everyone is incredibly emotional in every conversation. Every character sounded exactly the same. I would highly suggest not listening to the audiobook and just go for the book itself. It almost ruined the boom for me. 😒 Maybe I‘m in a mood or something.🤔

Bookzombie A bad narrator can definitely ruin a book. I have occasionally started one and had to put it aside so I can pick it up in print later. 2y

I‘m now 69% done with The Jigsaw Man. It‘s really good, but I hope I finish it before it gets too dark. 😂 If not, Melly has been my constant companion throughout this #readathon. She‘s sure to protect me if the need arises. Do you know how long it‘s been since I‘ve read a book in a single day? I‘m so excited. I feel like myself again. 🎉🎉🎉

As the title would suggest, this novel involves a serial killer who creates human jigsaw puzzles. He‘s in prison for life, so where are the recent body parts coming from? Suffering from PTSD after her near fatal encounter with The Jigsaw Man, how does DI Anjelica Henley think asking him for help is going to end? Not well, as it turns out. This is a dark, gruesome thriller and I hope, the first in a series. More DI Henley, please. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a terrific debut thriller. I hope there are more in this series!

Detective Inspector Anjelica Henley is a member of the Serial Crimes Unit, and she's just returned to active duty after some very traumatizing events happening while on duty. She has a young daughter, a marriage on the ropes and a significant case of untreated PTSD. On her first day back she also gets 2 dead bodies that fit the profile of a serial killer behind bars.

charl08 Looking forward to reading this, heard the author speak last year (online, of course). 3y

When body parts start turning up on the banks of the Thames, DI Angelica Henley knows the killings have similarities to a former case - the Jigsaw Man. Is there a copycat killer or something far worse?

The story line was well-plotted & the MC's backstory was well-drawn. The scenes of violence were rather brutal. Overall, I liked it but I didn't love it. 3⭐

Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, HQ, for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley

Nadine shares she used to borrow her parents' library cards. She based the book in the area where she grew up: Deptford. Would anyone like a tour of the places where the bodies are found in the novel? All of them really exist.
