A woman ready to give up on love discovers that age is truly just a number in this heartwarming and steamy new romantic comedy by USA Today bestselling author Nicola Marsh. For almost a decade, successful 37-year-old Samira Broderick has used her bustling LA practice as an excuse to avoid a trip home to Australia. She still resents her meddling Indian mother for arranging her marriage to a man who didn't stick around when the going got tough, but now with a new job Down Under, she's finally ready to reconnect with her. And while she's there, a hot international fling might be just what she needs to get out of her recent funk. Aussie stuntman, Rory Radcliffe, has been hiding his stutter for years by avoiding speaking roles. When a job he can't refuse comes up as a reality show host, he knows he'll need some help for the audition: a dialect coach. But he finds himself at a loss for words when he discovers it's the same sexy woman with whom he just had a mind-blowing one-night stand... Samira can think of many reasons why Rory is completely wrong for her: he's ten years her junior, for one, and he's not Indian--something Samira's mother would never approve of. Even if things were to get serious, there's no reason to tell her mother...is there?

Mehso-so

This was a fun read, but I just didn‘t connect with the characters. Also, a lot of lust, but not seeing the falling in love portion.

With weather as beautiful as it is, I couldn‘t not put my deck furniture out! Here is to the first deck reading session of the season!! 😎

robinb Love your happy yellow patio chairs. They make me think of my grandparents who had green ones on their side porch when I was growing up (a slider too). :) Nice memories. 3y

Hmm, this one is touching upon some tough subjects, but I‘m liking it. It talks about infertility, which is surprising to me since it seems like a taboo subject. I‘m glad more people are talking about it. Thanks to those who venture out and talk about. It makes some of us feel like we aren‘t alone, the anomaly, the weirdos who can‘t do something that should be a piece of cake. 💜

Bailedbailed

Bailing at 10%. It's classified as "romance"; really just whining and sex (so far). I would really like some romance books that include actual romance, humor, relationships, realistic and healthy sex (not just ravaging each other within 30 minutes of meeting), intimacy, playfulness, etc. I guess that's why I keep trying "romance" books. Maybe this classification could be used more sparingly?

TheAromaofBooks Right? I need more from my romcoms than just vulgarity! 3y
tjwill I read this one recently, and it‘s more like what you said you were looking for: 3y

CoffeeK8 This was my favorite romance of this year, it was just wonderful 3y
JoyBlue @tjwill Awww—thanks! I must have picked up the Kindle edition during First Reads one month, so I'm adding the Audible narration now for a song. [I have a hard time keeping my eyes open to read at night—much easier to read with my ears.] 3y
JoyBlue @CoffeeK8 & @Laughterhp Thanks for the recommendations! 3y

Awwww was my first reaction to finishing this one. Samira and Rory's story was funny, warm and sassy with Samira being older and getting shit about her “boy toy“.

Netgalley has an app now! Not sure how much I'll use it. I probably will not be requesting audiobooks since I'm not the one who orders them for the library. And I read my ARCs on my kindle Oasis. But I think I'll download the app on my iPad just in case I want to read an ARC there. 😁
