A graphic novel about Mary Shelley‘s greatx5 granddaughter. “I‘m going to my tree house!”
This was a fun little graphic novel about Mary, the fictional descendant of Mary Shelley, who is pressured by her family to become a writer but suddenly discovers a new power to heal the dead. The ending has me hoping this becomes a series

The beginning is always today.
What a serendipitous first line to open on for my first graphic novel of the year.
Started off my Halloween month with this spooky fun YA graphic novel by Reading Glasses podcast cohost Brea Grant. Loved the funny quips, creepy twists, quirky ghosts and especially the perplexed great x 5 granddaughter trying to live up to her famous ancestor‘s legacy. A perfect homage to author/radical thinker Mary Shelley. Brilliant premise...hope there‘s more to come.

Y‘all this was fantastic. I love a good book about writers and this checks that box several times, along with magic monsters and general mayhem.
So far this is my favorite panel 😂😂 Mary crab running away 😂 I love this book! #comic
I just had to pause all my other books when this hold came in that I requested the library to buy. Where you at Reading Glasses podcast Glassers?!
Just pre-ordered this. I think it'll make a great Spooktober read! I also love the author's podcast, Reading Glasse, and wanted to support her work 🤓🎃
