I‘m not usually a fan of short stories. They always seem to leave me feeling unfulfilled and wanting more. These short stories were different. Twenty-one stories from authors of color; many different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities, all sharing a story about their time living in the America‘s southern states. Just a little snippet, enough to make you think but not necessarily needing more.

Cortg #Readharder23 read a book of short stories
#Pop23 a book that fulfills your favorite prompt from a past challenge/a book with at least a four-star rating on Goodreads
#Booked2023 a short story collection

An interesting collection of essays from writers of color both raised in the South and who came as adults about their experiences.

I enjoyed this collection of essays and was introduced to some writers who were new to me. It was a good look at different experiences in the South. This is one of my Nonfiction November books for 2020. #NFN20 #NFN2020

I‘m excited to read some Nonfiction this month for #NFN20 #NFN and to get some more squares marked off on my #Nonfiction2020 bingo card. Here is a list of books I‘ve made to pick from this month.
