Another fascinating, yet disturbing, book by Ellen Hopkins! This lady sure knows how to write about the inside of the evils of our world. Can‘t wait to read the sequel!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I must have read this one six times by now. I'll never get sick of the way she writes. So easy to fly through a book in one sitting.

Ellen Hopkins can capture a character and their moments in simple prose in a way some authors cannot achieve with whole books. Tricks is haunting and poignant and it achieves it goal of making you feel filthy yet full of hope for redemption.

You know an author is phenomenal when you devour 279 pages in three hours. Hopkins can say more with prose than some authors can do with an entire book.

Ellen hopkins did an amazing job with this book. The 5 different stories were all interesting and they made you really think. I would recommend this to any of my friends that like easy books and a good story about a person's struggle.

So much better than I was expecting. I've known Hopkins' name, but this is the first I've read of hers. I will be reading more.

I thought Ellen would move a little faster than she is, lots of stuff going on in the story and all 5 POV are pretty depressing. Not sure if I'll make it to book 2.
