You knew where things were going, but it was done well, so it made for a pleasant read. Family dynamics, domestic abuse, second chances, and moving on after loss all set in the low country of South Carolina.

Today‘s Prompt: THE SPEED OF SOUND
This is not the speed of sound, but the sound of glass.
Southern families and families with secrets.
THE SOUND OF GLASS has suspense and mystery as well as addressing the issue of domestic violence.
I truly enjoyed THE SOUND OF GLASS, and if you have ever read one of Ms. White‘s books, you know you will be in for a marvelous read.

My new acquisitions from the last little while. Some from little free library, some from my grandma. And I bought the familiars.
Great beach book that includes a local mystery, family dynamics and love.
I just finished a really scary book and my next book was supposed to be a Stephan King but I need a break from Horror. So I am going to read this beach read instead. This was a cover-alone buy.
THE SOUND OF GLASS is a beautiful book. The descriptions of the scenes, and the emotions of the characters are very real. A multilayered mystery, secrets of a damaged family, and the courage to heal keeps you engrossed throughout the book. This book will linger in the readers heart long after the last page is turned.
THE SOUND OF GLASS is a heartbreaking but relevant tale of multiple generations of damaged men in the Heyward family. The poignant story is told from three alternating women‘s perspectives. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/166253879709/the-sound-of-glass-karen-white-m...
This book perfectly describes the lusciousness of the Lowcountry. It wasn't the most moving thing I've ever read, but was entertaining. It is a perfect beach read!! #beachread #summerreading#karenwhite #lowcountry
Hi there! I'm brand new here and his is my first post 👍 I'm already tucked in bed this Sunday evening with The Sound of Glass. Just started, has anyone read this? If so, what do you think?? #karenwhite #thesoundofglass #bookstagram
Family bonds forged from unfailing kindness and from the strength found in suffering. Set in South Carolina, this was tough to stomach and endearing at the same time. Lovable and quirky characters and a mystery thrown in to boot.
This book has a great opening chapter and I'm hooked. I have to do some Christmas shopping this morning, but I'm looking forward to coming back to this this afternoon.
#somethingforsept #readingoutside Enjoying a quiet afternoon on my balcony in Charlotte NC.
Boat, Beer, and a new book... And some Buffett music! It doesn't get much better than that!
