A gripping psychological suspense novel about a woman diagnosed with cancer who sets out to discover if someone poisoned her before her time is up, from the bestselling author of the addictive and fast-paced (Mary Kubica, New York Times bestselling author) thriller You Cant Catch Me. Jennifer Barnes never expected the shocking news she received at a routine doctors appointment: she has a terminal brain tumorand only six weeks left to live. While stunned by the diagnosis, the forty-eight-year-old mother decides to spend what little time she has left with her familyher adult triplets and twin grandsonsclose by her side. But when she realizes she was possibly poisoned a year earlier, shes determined to discover who might have tried to get rid of her before shes gone for good. Separated from her husband and with a contentious divorce in progress, Jennifer focuses her suspicions on her soon-to-be ex. Meanwhile, her daughters are each processing the news differently. Calm medical student Emily is there for whatever Jennifer needs. Moody scientist Aline, who keeps her mother at arms length, nonetheless agrees to help with the investigation. Even imprudent Miranda, who has recently had to move back home, is being unusually solicitous. But with her daughters doubting her campaign against their father, Jennifer cant help but wonder if the poisoning is all in her heador if theres someone else who wanted her dead.

“In this international bestseller, a “twisty tale of secrets and lies that reverberate across generations of a dysfunctional family” (Michele Campbell, author of The Wife Who Knew Too Much), a woman diagnosed with cancer sets out to discover if someone poisoned her before her time is up.”

5feet.of.fury This one was pretty good, I enjoyed the differences in the perspectives of the sibling‘s recollections. 3y

#Two4Tuesday
1. I don‘t know why… but I could only think of Evil Dead 💀 and the Ancient Sumerian text that sets off the events.

2. A lot of books I have read recently have been a movie or a series (Nomadland, Wild, Sharp Objects) but the tagged book was a good whodunnit with plenty of family drama to hold up on the big screen.

Thanx for the tag @DarkMina

💖Lately night reading, I don‘t save myself a lot of time in the morning.
🖤the tagged book is honestly the easiest breeziest book I have read this summer 🤣 not quite a beach read, all I‘ve been reading are heavy SFF and mysteries or comedy audio books. Also I have not seen the beach 🙃 what a bummer. I‘ll have to fix that in August!

Jennifer is a divorcee and mother of three adult triplet daughters. After a visit to her doctor she's informed she only has six weeks to live. Old blood results from the year before show extremely high levels of blood; she's been poisoned but by who? She tries to figure it out before she passes. The person responsible blew me away-completely unexpected.

A slow building domestic drama surrounding a family with secrets and deceit; centered on the mom‘s diagnosis with terminal cancer, she believes she‘s been poisoned. 6 weeks to uncover the truth. Boring in some parts, depressing in mostly all. End is anticlimactic but very depressing. Audio is OK. CW: cancer, terminal illness, divorce/cheating, mental illness. #thriller #suspense #mystery #domesticthriller #fiction #newbooks #audiobook

Audiobook‘s narration was clear and engaging. The book is about a middle aged woman diagnosed with terminal cancer who thinks someone poisoned her. Secrets and lies follow twists within the domestic family - a narcissist cheating husband/dad, adult triplets, Jennifer the sick wife/mom, and Bea the grandma. Multiple POV. Slow when it mattered (why i knocked points). Audio is worth trying. 3/5 stars #thriller #suspense #audiobook

SIX WEEKS TO LIVE by Catherine McKenzie
I always enjoy books by Catherine McKenzie. This one was another good one. While not my favorite it was still a very good book. I learned some things in it that I didn't know.

This book is part drama, part thriller, and part mystery. A family drama with a twist if you will. Jennifer finds out she has a brain tumor and has six weeks to live.

𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗰𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗲 has long been among my favorite authors & with 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲, her 11th novel, she again demonstrates why. She seamlessly welds family drama & a murder mystery (the victim is not yet dead) in a fast-paced tale of secrets, betrayals, grudges, & revenge. Brace yourself for a gut-punch conclusion. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⁣
