The Eden Test: A Novel | Adam Sternbergh
post image
Pickpick

This #DomesticThriller takes place at a private retreat for married couples with an overtly Old Testament theme- called The Eden Test, over the course of 7 days, couples are given 7 questions to discuss. Daisy & Craig may not always be particularly likable, but as the story unfolds, it‘s hard to tear away from! Readers will enjoy discussing this one, even when the final twists turn this into something more unbelievable but no less entertaining!

Current read: interesting so far… hard to tell exactly what‘s going on and who is reliable. HUGE amount of gaslighting happening. Anyone read this one? I‘m enjoying it but I‘ve been reading it slower than I typically read. #mystery #thriller #domesticthriller

@StMartinsPress [free book]

I enjoyed The Therapist just as much as Paris‘ other books for many reasons. Instead of diving right into the drama, this novel starts out by simply introducing the characters and their place in life, allowing the reader to get to know them at almost a personal level.

The simmering progression of the plot made things occur in a way that felt natural, rather than forced or ridiculous. This is a fun thriller!!

Six Weeks to Live: A Novel | Catherine McKenzie

A slow building domestic drama surrounding a family with secrets and deceit; centered on the mom‘s diagnosis with terminal cancer, she believes she‘s been poisoned. 6 weeks to uncover the truth. Boring in some parts, depressing in mostly all. End is anticlimactic but very depressing. Audio is OK. CW: cancer, terminal illness, divorce/cheating, mental illness. #thriller #suspense #mystery #domesticthriller #fiction #newbooks #audiobook

I enjoyed this book overall so it was still a pick but was pretty disappointed in the ending. Not the best review but I feel like saying anything else would give too much away about the book. #audiobook #scribd #domesticthriller

Although I was captivated by the 4 chapter preview, this ultimately fell flat. I wasn't really thrilled or shocked, the subject matter is an overused trope, it's too dependent on unnecessary backstories & subplots, & this caused the book to drag in many parts. It didn't live up to the hype imo. I expected something more interesting. Also, the Audible narrator cannot do male voices justice. #audiobook #audible #psychological #domesticthriller #botm

This was such a delightfully creepy #domesticthriller, and I loved that it wasn't typical. You definitely want to add this one to your #tbrpile and snag it when it releases in September. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
