This was just so lovely. The ending did feel a bit rushed but it was just a sweet story about loss and friendship and moving forward.

Book 11

The Music of Bees, which I read for a book club, is a solid novel with dynamic, charismatic characters. Alice, Jake, and Harry, all struggling with their familial relationships, form an unlikely bond over Alice's beehives. While there is nothing extraordinary, it's a well-done, uplifting book, written, in-part from the author's experiences as a beekeeper. I'm curious to read her memoir about a sister with autism. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great book. Beautifully written. Learned a lot about bees and how bees behave were an awesome analogy to the characters and story in the book. Bravo!

When my youngest daughter was in 8th grade her Lego league team did a project on bees. 🐝 This was a good story and I enjoyed the characters as well. Book 80 for me.

This story is an enjoyable one that focuses on three main characters and the unlikely bond they form. I truly liked them as characters. I had hoped for an emotional experience with them but, though their stories all had depth, on the whole it lacked the emotional intensity I was hoping for. What this story does provide is a delightful reading experience with quirky characters, realistic small-town living, and a wonderful environmental message.

I loved all the characters and the story. I learned so much about the bees, too. I am surprised this is a debut novel. I look forward to more from her. Highly recommend! 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Definitely a pick for me! Three misfits who unite together and find a common interest over honeybees. Interspersed with facts about honeybees. Likeable characters and good storyline. Ended a bit quickly with a few rushed things towards the end, but overall I really enjoyed it.

#curiouscover for today is blue and yellow. This pretty cover fits perfectly! 🐝 I‘m enjoying listening to this book as it easily weaves in facts about honeybees. I have honeybees in my backyard. I only host them and the beekeeper comes to take care of them, so I‘m learning a lot about the bees and connecting to what I know about the bees in my yard! Enjoying so far! Oh, and the human characters in the book are nice too. 🤷‍♀️ #littenlisten
