What would you change if you had to start your lifeand love lifeover again? When Emma Harris wakes up from a coma she learns that her fianc and her BFF have fallen in love, shes lost her job, and the life she knew is gone. Overwhelmed but grateful to be alive she starts over from scratch. Not as easy as it sounds, of course. But shes never been a quitter, even if she wishes she could quit rehab, where her hot but evil physical therapist, Simon, puts her through the wringer. Eager for a new beginning, Emma opens a doggy day care. Unfortunately, the only space she can afford is owned by her childhood nemesis Ali Pratt. But hey, shes been through worse, right? She tries to roll with the punches, but a friend drops his grandpa off at the doggy day care in desperation then on top of that, she and Ali bring the term frenemies to a whole new level. And then another grandparent shows up. And another. In the midst of all that, Emma realizes shes accidentally fallen for Evil PT. But the most horrifying thing of all is that Ali just might have turned into the best friend shes ever had. And as Emma grows from the pain of her past and takes on her new path, she comes to realize that life isnt what youre given, its what you make of it.

It's a good, solid Jill Shalvis story complete with likable characters, humor, banter, and found family. However, I found myself getting impatient with "the formula" plot. Time for a break. I did get a #BookSpinBingo though, so woohoo!

Starting this palate cleanser after a lot of non-fiction reading this month. My brain needs a break 😂

KadaGul Jill Shalvis is my top pick for a cozy and feel-good romance. 1mo

Emma who awakens from a Coma, has lost everything. Her PT is Simon, whom she has known for most of her life. Ali, Emma‘s high school nemesis, moves into her building.
Emma and Simon discover they have feelings for each other. Emma and Ali, calls a truce and opens up a business together.
This was a story of losing everything, but being resilient enough to gain much more than you had before. #beachread

I have never read a Jill Shalvis book that I didn‘t love and this book was no different. I loved Emma and Simon from the very beginning and couldn‘t wait to see how their love story unfolded. Another this I love about Shalvis is how she also includes friendships. Emma and Allison may have been a rocky one at first I loved how them friendship blossomed.

This was my #bookspin book for this month.

TheAromaofBooks I have several books from this series on my shelf but haven't gotten to them yet!! I also enjoy her books a lot. 3y

I can never go wrong with a Jill Shalvis book. I do feel like many of her recent books have leaned more towards women's fiction with some romance where her older books were more romance. But I always love her main characters, as well as her secondary characters, which are also very fleshed out and amazing. And sometimes, like in this book, I LOVE her animal characters as they play a big part!

I would have liked more Alison, but really did enjoy Emma‘s journey in overcoming the accident, learning to be her new self and falling in love.
