Today‘s #Scarathlon photo challenge: Mystery
Thought this one was appropriate! I haven‘t read it yet, different author from tagged book, this is an indi author from Minnesota I picked up and an independent book store.

I confess, I viciously mocked @kitty_reads when this title and its sequel (The Antique House Murders) appeared in the family Amazon account. Then I needed a B title for #LitsyAtoZ and this was already on my kindle. It was an amusing cozy, I very much enjoyed it, I will be reading the sequel. Shorty—please accept my apologies for mocking (apology only applies to this title)
The first line was a bit rocky, but once the story really took off I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to cozy mystery book lovers.
Thanks to The publisher for providing me an eARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review! This was fun & is a promising start to a new mystery series. The premise is smart & our main character, Charley, is clever & capable. A tiny bit of language & some sexual content is here, & you will get spoilers for two of Agatha Christie‘s books, The ABC Murders and also And Then There Were None. I'm looking forward to more from Leslie Nagel!
Far and away my favorite new series. It was a struggle to put the book down and almost sad for it to come to an end. Loved it!
I was excited to read this because I love cozy mysteries and the words "book club" in the title just drew me in. Books about people who read books are awesome.
The main character, Charley, was well written and interesting. She did not rush into danger but seemed to think things through before acting. Detective Marc was also good, although I felt his romance with Charley was a little forced at first.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley.
Light, fun cozy mystery series debut set around a mystery book club. Charley owns a vintage clothing store & belongs to the Agathas Book Club-named after Agatha Christe. When murders in her town are too close to the Agathas & their reading list, Charley works w/ local police & former crush Marc to solve the case. Likable characters & book-related, I liked this Net Galley ARC & look forward to the next book. W/ my bean, tomato & rice soup lunch📚🍴
My TBR pile is getting out of control, between my physical books and the ones I have on my kindle. I told myself I would only read the books I own, no more buying any or trips to the library. So what did I do? I requested 3 new books from NetGalley. 😞 I have no self control 😔
