pickA low pick... I enjoyed the story but the pacing felt uneven and parts really dragged. I kept setting it down in favor of reading other things.

bailed⭐️ ◼️ I couldn‘t find the actual book on here….This is only the third book in my entire life that I DNF‘d (Did Not Finish). I feel guilty and like a total failure. I tried to push through it and got about 70 percent done but I couldn‘t do it. so-soThis was very similar to the first book, though a bit more cohesive. I liked the protagonist, though again I had some trouble liking the romantic interest- he was just a little too dismissive for me.
After reading the first book in the Married to Magic series for #LMPBC last round, I have been meaning to pick up this one. Like the first book, this one had engaging world-building (WITH REASONABLE EXPLANATIONS) and likable characters. It did feel like it took forever for the MC to realize a big plot point, but I also felt like Kova gave reasons for the MC to not notice so... it still gets a pass haha I'm definitely planning to check out more ⬇
#BookReport - I was super busy this week between work and other randomness so I didn't get a lot of reading done. I did finish the next Percy Jackson book as well as an old book I never got around to reviewing on here, Sensible Kate by Doris Gates. I'm almost done with both The Riddle of the Sands and the tagged book. However, wait until you see the windowsill with April's additions - things have gotten WAY out of hand! 😂 @Cinfhen

Ah, this book... this was truly everything you could ever want in a fantasy romance and then some. It had politics, great worldbuilding, rich characters, magic and swooning romance all neatly wrapped in one standalone book. This is definitely a new favorite of mine ❤ Highly recommended 👌
