I had this one on my TBR for awhile (thanks to @AkashaVampie) and found it on Libby - Initially I was hesitant to borrow this book on (because its hard to read comics on my phone) but... then it dawned on me and I downloaded Kindle App on my Mac, so I can read it in all the colors! #LibbyLoan #NotAnotherGraphicMonday

This comic is a cute concept and the art is pretty neat. I feel like the characters are well portrayed as well. I just wasn't feeling engaged by these one-off comics about two friends imagining what their life would be like if they were XYZ thing. It is a cute concept, but I think I would be more engaged if it had a central plot instead of being a collection of shorts like this.

Quebec cartoonist Axelle Noir portrays a charming & realistic close friendship between a couple of teens in high school. Marie is black & straight. Nathalie is white & queer. Their shared passion is playing a game of imagination. “What if we were Vikings?… or scientists?” It‘s quirky & hilarious, with great artwork. There are only a few bumps in the translation by Pablo Strauss & Aleshia Jansen. #LGBTQ #Canadian #comics

A coming-out conversation in this graphic novel made me laugh out loud. It‘s between a teen and her father, initiated by the parent.

In a couple of places, I noticed the translators of this Québécois graphic novel slipped up and either left the original French (as above) or used an awkward literal translation: “you are losing your time” instead of “wasting time.”

Would you still read this if the drawings looked like this? Hell no!
