There is a lot of action, but not much suspense. There isn‘t much substance... It wasn't a bad story, just not a “wow“ :)

Hmm. I feel mixed about this one. It did keep me reading and was very tense throughout, but I thought the ending let it down. And one of the things that was “revealed” late in the book was something I had totally picked up on 100 pages earlier. So I think overall, it‘s a so-so for me.

Within this book you will find some intense action, twists you won‘t see coming where everything is revealed at just the right moment, and a super-smart child who steals the show or book if you will. And a tidy, and mostly satisfying ending...was it a tad unbelievable at times…maybe? It wasn't a deal-breaker, though.

A solid, quick page-turner. The hostage situation was pretty terrifying, though parts of the twist and conclusion weren't exactly shocking. An entertaining read though! 3.5⭐️

Gah! This book was utterly terrifying and so phenomenal! 🤩 She‘s one of my favorites, and this book that is just packed with suspense is the reason.

Emotionally rich, meticulously researched historical fiction, in some cases relating previously unheard stories of bravery & sacrifice; suspenseful tales told at an unrelenting, exciting pace; & moving, relatable⭐ & sometimes charming coming-of-age stories. ⁣

The authors provided hours of entertainment. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂!

As we wait for Cam to get the money, the chapters with Jade dragged on with not much happening in the house. But the finale is worth the wait. There is one big surprise that I didn‘t see coming, but, thinking back, it made perfect sense.

I liked the characters; nine-year-old Bea is my hero. I even liked the intruder…a little bit.

Every book I read by Kimberly Belle takes me away to a place that is thrilling and on edge. The deepest parts of my heart is always touched by her books. This one is one of the best yet. About a mother and what she will do to protect her children from a desperate man who is walking a fine line with reality. Yet he is also worrying about his child. But there are lines you just do not cross. He crossed the wrong one.
A must read. 5/5 stars

A terrifying read that brings out more than what is seen as a perfect family.

You will be with the characters sharing the terror they are experiencing.

Ms. Belle always keeps you biting your nails, and this book has nail biting galore.

Another great read her fans won‘t want to miss or be able to put down. 5/5

This is an entertaining read for fans of domestic thrillers. It is fast-paced and features a look at a family where 'all is not as it seems'. I particularly enjoyed the character of the very smart nine-year-old girl. I gave it 3.75/5.
