“Stickered” the above bc of the expletive but it‘s how I feel 🤷🏻♀️😂 Bag was spotted at the Strand in NYC
This book is a pick, but it is indeed a “comedy” of errors. So much needless misunderstanding that can be grating - but I do feel like each character is fleshed out in a believable way. The ending was too neat for me, and the House being it‘s own character wasn‘t really necessary. But the writing is warm & human.
Utilizing the holiday weekend to get a sizeable chunk into this chunk and get it off my TBR (esp since it‘s “Summer” themed).

You know how they say you hate what is mirrored about yourself in others? Well, as a person who often keeps things inside as if people are psychic, it‘s no wonder practically every character in this book pisses me off. Good lord! 😬😁🤔
Finished The Summer Place flying back from SLC. Back in toasty FL now ☺️
Another great light read from Jennifer Weiner! If you liked Big Summer and That Summer, you‘ll love this one! It follows the same format but details a different family, their collective and individual struggles and keeps you guessing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The summer series. Character crossovers but not my favorite.Maybe a few too many to follow and none are all that likable.
Wrap up for many of the storylines was too pat, but overall I really enjoyed this. Perfect vacation read.
The backstories and revelations are as dramatic as you would want a summer read to be. Good themes and great use of multiple points of view.
This book had to compete with my view though, and it didn't always win.
This is a summer beach read to it‘s core. It‘s salacious, sexy, gossipy and anything else that fits into this genre. I understand there are mixed feelings on this book, but for me it worked. I think we were supposed to dislike many of the people in this story, but for me it just worked, and I totally enjoyed it. Bonus, I listened to the audiobook, and Sutton Foster was such a delight to listen to for the length of this book.
This book is the soapiest of all soap operas. If you can read it without taking it seriously, you may enjoy it.
In Weiner‘s latest, she explores the many ways women respond to having kids while moving steadily through the members of an extended family. It‘s a little shaky in places, but she ultimately pulls it off and I was completely absorbed during the final 30% or so.

I look forward to Jennifer‘s summer-in-the-title books. I dropped pins on twins, Sam and Sarah, and had a blast following the forked roads leading to the interesting characters impacting their lives. …Against 80-1 odds, I watched as Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby last Saturday so I decided I could imagine this ‘of all the gin joints in all the world‘ story, too! I loved the reactions when Eli‘s story revealed itself.
Every character (except maybe Ruby and the littles) made a decision that made me want to smack them at one point or another, but I was also too invested to NOT finish. The author described this book as a farce, and I think you need to know that going in to truly enjoy this book. All that said, I'd still say it's worth a read. #womensfiction #comedyoferrors
Jennifer Weiner, the Queen of Summer Sizzle is back with another messy family drama. And boy, is this one packed with secrets!! If you‘re looking for a summer escape this book is perfect, if you‘re looking for a realistic story this is a #BorrowNotBuy #NetGalley #AvailableMay10 #ReleasesTuesday
Once again my iPad is out of battery life so I‘m “forced” to pick up my Kindle. Reading the newest novel from #SummerQueen #BeachReadWriter Jennifer Weiner 💜#ARC #NetGalley #DoubleSpin
This is super engaging. I love these Summer books. This one has characters that are all keeping secrets from each other. It's slightly ridiculous but in the best possible way. And she brings back previous characters like little Easter eggs.

Perks of being a librarian! This is one of two books I'm eagerly anticipating this spring. My coworker came in with this ARC so I snagged it 😊
This was a good, easy, satisfying read. Jennifer Weiner can be counted on for that! 💛
