pickThe building terror in this story really pushes this book into the horror camp for me. I was perpetually waiting for the boogeyman to jump out with a chainsaw.
I think the story is well rounded and meets a readers expectations for a satisfying end. I was happier with the end than I expected to be (if happy is even what we want to call that).

pickSo. Much. Suspense. The main character is hard to like which makes her that much more likable. I loved this book and I didn‘t want it to end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars from me and you should pick it up soon!

pickThis book was a book like no other I‘ve ever read. It‘s main character is unlike anyone I‘ve ever met. Her unfortunate life experiences caused her to put up so many walls.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, from beginning to end. It didn‘t end at all as I expected, which isn‘t a bad thing. I look forward to reading more by this author, Tarryn Fisher.

People in the facebook support group who finished Colleen Hoover's 'Verity' suggested reading Mud Vein to get over the book hangover some of us feel after finishing it.
FYI- it has a playlist on Spotify!! I kept looking up the songs mentioned in the book as soon as they would come up. After the 3rd song I wondered if someone made a playlist, did a search, and found it!

pickI really liked this book a lot. It drew me in on the first sentence and had a hard time putting it down. I was up until 1230 just to finish it. I wanted to know if I was right on who the zookeeper was and I was correct.
pickI went into this story completely blind. I was expecting a lighthearted contemporary (why, I don't know) and discovered almost immediately how very wrong I was. This is a dark tale that delivers powerful and gut wrenching reveals which often left me in tears. It's captivating, lyrical, and unlike anything I've ever encountered.

I'm probably reaching here, but I read this book a few years ago and I think the story fits the lyrics. It's one of the very few New Adult books that I've read and enjoyed, mostly because it's also a creepy kidnapping story.

I have been wanting to re-read this since I finished it last year. I loved it so much. So I added the narration for $2 and I'm gonna do it that way.
pan0/10 stars. I read SO many rave reviews and recommendations that I bought this. So disappointed, I actually hated this book. Truly and honestly hated it.
I couldn't *literally* throw this book across the room since it was on my Nook and that would have made the whole experience infinitely more depressing than it already was. Major spoiler but I just can't let this go... so her THERAPIST decided to teach her a lesson on LOVE by kidnapping her and leaving her in a cabin for a YEAR to (sorta) starve? I'm all for far fetched plots, but this one was too weird. And then they didn't really go into any detail on why this woman went to these extreme lengths or why she felt so invested in the first place, like WHY?! Doesn't add up to me. 🤔

panWTF did I just read? This got really dark and intense really fast, and there was never a good enough "why?" to the whole thing. Even the big reveal at the end fell flat for me, I wasn't buying it.
A little baffled by all of the stellar reviews, to be honest. But maybe I need to let it percolate? Anywho, on to the next one! Preferably something upbeat. #biblioweekend

pickSuch a smart and twisted psychological ride. This was my intro to Tarryn Fisher, and I've since plowed through all of her writing. The attention she pays to the details is amazing; she never just includes something for the sake of hitting her word count. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
