My August pick for #12Booksof2023. This was excellent on audio!

I am waaay behind on my #StarWarsBuddyRead but am making progress. I listened to this on audio and loved it. The interplay between Luke and Lando was comforting, and seeing a more vulnerable side of Lando was revelatory.

The audio production was fantastic with a great narrator, music and sound effects that enhanced the experience rather than detracting from it.

This is the story that is a sort of prequel to the sequels. Or rather this is the story of how Rey ended up on Jakku. And if you play close attention you can see Ben's impending fall as well. On the up side Luke and Lando are a fantastic team and I really enjoyed catching up with them 🖤

Can't we just give Rey this book to read? And there will be a next one, right? Right?!

I loved the Luke-Lando friendship story. And the story about Reys parents. It really, really moved me and I keep questioning myself “What if...“. Also the small scenes with Ben... Total heart-break, really.

Last month took us to Endor & the marriage of Han & Leia. And then on to the honeymoon where the real fun began. I enjoyed it. The wedding sounded gorgeous.

103/150 Taking place between Return of The Jedi and The Force Awakens, it's been 17 years since the fall of the Empire. This story fills in the background of Rey and her parents and the Sith planet Exegol. Lando Calrissian and Luke Skywalker work well as a team, balancing serious against more light hearted characters, Lando is usually teamed with Han Solo and Chewbacca. I like the Jedi Master Luke much more than depressing hermit Luke.
