This one was all kinds of creepy! #mentalillness #mentalhospital

Mesmeric one time read for a cold Friday evening ! Loved the raw portrayal of emotions springing right out of the character's heads.

Rated it a so/so as the character development is not captivating enough for a thriller and a lot of psychological aspects have been left unexplored. All this could have been forgiven had the ending been shocking enough!

This one was pretty good! The "big twist" at the end was a little bit predictable but overall I loved the story. Would recommend to a friend looking for a thriller.

Onto the next book! A nice bath, a yummy smelling candle and a little liquid courage as the sun starts to set!

Giving this title a so-so, only because I feel like it didn't pick up until the last 50 pages or so.

I often reflect on my childhood and teen years torn between good memories & brutal experiences, questionable choices & catch-as-catch-can parenting. Well, these kids are worse off than any I've known. These fictionalized lives must exist for the author to have written the characters. Although I did guess the twist early on, all I know of the foster care system and institutionalization I learned from books (and films) like this one.

Just starting this tonight. Looks like it belongs in #HalloweenReads to me! ?I finished 6 books in October. Lamb by Christopher Moore was my favorite. #bestofoctober. In other news: I'm currently listening to top 50 "modern" songs (2011-recent) inspired by the '80s on vulture.com. Love me some synth-sounds. #booktober
