This was a great 2nd book in the Saffron Everleigh Mystery series which has become a favorite after I was introduced to it by @Laughterhp ‘s #AuldLangSpine list. I loved that it includes Floriography (the crafting of messages using flowers & their symbolism) which I find fascinating. Saffron is a great character & I enjoyed the addition of Dr. Lee & the potential love triangle. Start with book 1 ⬇️
I LOVED this book! I was a bit nervous to see a love triangle developing, but the author did a really good job with it!
This is the 2nd book in the series and has Saffron working to solve another murder. Alexander is in the Amazon, so she works with her current partner Lee.
The audio was really good and I spend my day doing anything just so I could listen.
I've just realised that l haven't posted a review for these books... And no surprise, since l went MIA for nearly a month.
I promise l'll post soon. In the meanwhile, l can say l really liked one of them. The other two could have been so much better.
Has anyone read them?
4.25/5
This is second in the Saffron Everleigh historical mystery series set in 1920s London.
As a botany research assistant at university, Saffron has had to prove herself in a male-dominated workplace. She is involved in her first research assignment with Dr. Michael Lee when a series of murders with various floral bouquets left behind pulls her into assisting the police with clues. She and Lee ingratiate themselves with a victim‘s 🔽
Last year, l read the first of Saffron's adventures and l liked it. So I'm quite excited for this second mystery 😁
