I picked up “The Sunlit Man” as I was a fan of several of Sanderson‘s other secret projects/novels, however I found that this one was simply alright. I feel like I was already at a disadvantage as I haven‘t read Sanderson‘s main Cosmere books, so I probably didn‘t enjoy it as much as I potentially could have.

Another really fun Sanderson. I really loved the planet and the world building. I am ready for more of the Cosmere!

I finished THE SUNLIT MAN while I assembled the first wall of my new book nook and played a bit of Candy Crush. While I appreciated it as a look beyond the Cosmere chronology we‘ve seen so far, the story never really sparked for me. I think perhaps it‘s best appreciated by Cosmere superfans who‘ve committed themselves to close readings of all the books, with a huge wealth of detail fresh in their memory.

Got my 2025 reading journal set up while I started THE SUNLIT MAN on audio! I find I‘m way less interested in tracking stuff like genres these days, so I went with a simple monthly list setup, some A to Z challenge pages, a place to log a book for every year I‘ve been alive, a Best Of page, and a spending log.

The book hasn‘t totally grabbed me, though I AM intrigued that it features an established character further on in his timeline.

Reading The Sunlit Man so I have something to keep my attention while I wait for Wind and Truth to be released tomorrow ☀️😎

3✨The last book from the kickstarter that Sanderson did. Nomad the wanderer to me is someone who doesn‘t want to keep running from world to world, but he is trying to escape his past that keeps following him. He is a good soul because his current world he stops at proves to be inhabited by an enslaved people. Very well developed world that this author is really good with. Story line that has the reader wanting justice for those that are wronged.⬇️

After my Year of Sanderson (or maybe I should call it my Cosmyear) in 2023, it was lovely to start off my 2024 reads with a new one. Had a great time jumping back into an action-packed Cosmere book. BrandSand just really knows his stuff.

Fourth secret project.

It's a bit Mad Max meets the Cosmere. I fear I should have read some Stormlight books before reading this, at times it felt like I was missing background information.

Not my favourite of the secret projects.

Secret Project 4 of the year of the Sanderson. I really liked this one. Lots of action and some heartbreak too. Of the 4 secret projects I liked Tress best, then Sunlit Man, Yumi, and lastly the Frugal Wizard.

An action packed sci-fantasy adventure in the Cosmere universe. A fun read though a little messy, there were so points that felt like they needed editing. I did enjoy the characters and the very harrowing world. 4⭐️

I finally got my hands on The Sunlit Man which brings my year of Sanderson to a close.

I‘m a little ashamed to admit that I haven‘t read any of the Secret Projects yet. Which one was your favorite?

I'm having trouble recently in picking the right book. But this one caught me up instantly!

I received the final Brandon Sanderson Kickstarter Secret Project. As usual it came with a pin, bookmark, and sticker. But this time the book also has sprayed black edges. The black against the red is absolutely gorgeous.😍

I got the last Sanderson Kickstarter project book. This looks like it is going to be so good!
