The only Graves Glen book i didn't like. I found it just didn't grab me!
The only Graves Glen book i didn't like. I found it just didn't grab me!
What more could you ask for in a book… witches, Christmas, grumpy/sunshine trope, and plenty of spice to keep your hot chocolate warm… this book had it all! In fact, I think it might be my favorite in the trilogy!
I can‘t be two books into this fun little series and not read the HEA for third Penhallow brother. I also have a soft spot for spot for the grumpy- sunshine trope - reading about how a character is shaped from his past to be the loner he is only to have a bit of sunshine peel away those layers so he can define himself anew. Even if one has to travel to 1957 to get it done.
I really loved The Ex-Hex, so I‘ve continued with the series. This one involves the 3rd brother who is awkward, shy, & a hermit at first. He & his love interest end up time traveling & have to figure out how to get back. A steamy romance with fun magic & plot. Still enjoyed the first book best. #frightclub #hauntedshelf 3.5/5 ⭐️
The latest installment in the Ex Hex series is a delight! Bowen, the last Penhallow brother to find love, is a bit of a recluse, a grumpy magic historian who rarely leaves his Welsh mountaintop. Tamsyn is an American who procures magical artifacts for the right price. Hijinks ensue but they find the only way forward is by helping each other. Sparks fly, and not just the magical ones! Just the right amount of steam. Perfect for Halloween and Yule!
Saturday vibe is catch up! I‘m not doing a good job with my #HauntedShelf tracking/activities. Work & a sinus thing are kicking my booty right now. I‘m ensconced at the coffeeshop this morning, tracking points, catching up on #5JoysFriday posts & writing a Halloween letter for some #LitsyLove replies.
Also debating the tagged book in this series that just came out & my library e-book hold came in. It sounds more Christmasy than Halloween.🤷🏻♀️
Love, magic, and broken curses. A great holiday read from witchy season to Christmas season. The banter was great. At about the halfway point, the plot took a hard turn making it a much more convoluted story than it needed to be. Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for a digital ARC.
Two words. Time travel. It‘s witchy. It‘s Christmasy. It doesn‘t take place in Graves Glen for the majority of the story like the rest of the series, but it‘s still fantastic!
Don't read this on an airplane when you're getting married in 2 wks I CRIED five stars no notes
