The best kind of thriller. . . . Suspenseful, sentimental, and ultimately redemptive, Assassins Anonymous is a cant-miss novel. S. A. Cosby, author of All the Sinners Bleed In this clever, surprising, page-turner, the worlds most lethal assassin gives up the violent life only to find himself under siege by mysterious assailants. Its a kill-or-be-killed situation, but the first option is off the table. Whats a reformed hit man to do? Mark was the most dangerous killer-for-hire in the world. But after learning the hard way that his lifes work made him more monster than man, he left all of that behind, and joined a twelve-step group for reformed killers. When Mark is viciously attacked by an unknown assailant, he is forced on the run. From New York to Singapore to London, he chases after clues while dodging attacks and trying to solve the puzzle of whos after him. All without killing anyone. Or getting killed himself. For an assassin, Mark learns, nonviolence is a real hassle.

I enjoyed every page of this book. The author cleverly creates a twelve-step program for professional assassins who want to leave that soul-crushing life. Our protagonist, Mark, known in his past life as the Pale Horse and approaching his one-year anniversary, finds himself back in and craving his old life. As an alcoholic in recovery myself, I found the program details accurate, and a fascinating spin on an important lifeline. A great read!

I liked The Paradox Hotel, so gave this a try.

Former Seal turned assassin has retired from service and been 'sober' for nearly a year when he's attacked and his friends' lives are being threatened. Now his sobriety is in danger, because he might not be able to not kill to get out of this mess.

It reminded me of R.E.D. and The Professional. It had a few unexpected twists and good action. First person I'll recommend it to is my son.

Mark is an assassin but is really trying not to be, so he joins an Assassins Anonymous group. He‘s almost a year out from killing anyone when he becomes a target from the past, potentially upending things for him. This is such a page-turner with good action and character development as well as good humor. I just loved it!

The tagged was an entertaining book I read in July, and there‘s a #weapon on the cover. Killers of a Certain Age meets Jack Reacher meets a 12-step program. #coverlove #wrapup

Light reading about a group of assassins following the AA steps as they try to stop killing. Our narrator has a reputation for being the toughest bad-ass around, so this group therapy stuff is a heavy lift for him. The story kept moving with a few surprises and a good ending.

A fun, thrilling page turner from start to finish that pays an homage to action films like John Wick and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. A retired, former hitman joins a support group to redeem himself, but his old enemies come after him. With humor and pop cultural references, this is a hoot to read!
