10 posts | 8 read | 1 to read
When a family curse threatens Davids life, he will turn to the only person hes ever trusted, his ex-boyfriend, Rhyswhich means he will have to open his heart to Moira, Rhyss wife. The day David Aristarkhovs occultist father died, he bought himself an Audi, drank every drop of liquor in the house, and abandoned his life as a teen psychic prodigy. Now pushing thirty, David is a Boston attorney, moonlighting as a medium for a secret society. But when the Devil comes to collect on a deal Davids ancestor made, he reluctantly reaches out to his ex-boyfriend Rhys for help. However, to get to Rhys, David will have to befriend Moira, Rhyss wife. The trio gets a little too close for comfort as they combine their powers to unravel the century-old curse, and if they dont break the curse by Davids thirtieth birthday, he wont live long enough for everyone to figure out their feelings for each other.

This is the only love corner I‘ll be accepting from here on out. If we‘re gonna be playing love triangle shenanigans, connect all the dots pleaseeeee. Anyway, I had a great time with this one. David is a little shit, Rhys has GOT to be a Capricorn, and I‘m submitting apps to be Moira‘s new gf. Can‘t wait to read the prequel in October!

This book fell a little flat for me. This book is about David, a psychic prodigy who finds out that he is cursed. In desperation, he goes to his ex-boyfriend Rhys and his ex-wife .

Bailing on this one, I‘m just not enjoying the two main male characters and do not get the attraction.

LeeRHarry This was very nearly a pan for me and now looking back it probably should have been. Disappointing to say the least. 6mo
Nessavamusic @LeeRHarry I feel validated, it was not the read I expected to be 6mo

Today is the start of my 3-day weekend! This past week at work has been total chaos, especially with summer reading starting and so many programs going on! I spent most of the afternoon today relaxing and reading at the park! I'm taking advantage of the nice weather before it hits 98° on Monday! 😱

I really like S.T. Gibson's previous works, and I'm only about halfway through this one so far but I think it's her best one yet!

“Romantic and delectable, Evocation is an entrancing start to a new series by S. T. Gibson. If anyone can make you root for three intricately crafted characters, it is Gibson. David, Rhys and Moria have ensnared me, I will be making a deal with the devil, just to get book two in my hands.”
