Finally got out of the car shop and took my son to his dress rehearsal for dance. Then I found these at the library! 😍😍😍
I can't remember if this is a #blameitonlitsy or #blameitonbookriot purchase. Yes! #litsypartyofone is saved! Loved, loved, loved this take on the three sisters in Macbeth.
I'm only passing familiar with The Scottish Play, but that's ok... I think that this graphic novel is good for Skaespeare lovers and newbies alike. It adds to the story of Macbeth, but it also stands alone quite well imho. Really enjoyed this one.

*But please don't knock out power to my house cause it's hard to read in the dark.
This was such a great read. A retelling of sorts of Macbeth from the perspective of the witches. It is such a great re-imagining of the story and how the events of the play come to pass.

Fantastic concept, well-researched, deftly executed. This perspective on Macbeth makes me want to read The Scottish Play again. I loved how it played with the themes of fate and family--it definitely does the play justice and enhances it. While it did feel rushed by the very end, Scott's brilliant follow-up essays and discussion topics more than make up for it. Highly recommended. #booktober #supernaturalbeings
Holy cats, I'm already obsessed with this and want to redo all my Halloween costume plans. Macbeth through the story of the Weïrd Sisters. SO GOOD. #booktober #supernaturalbeings
A graphic novel about Macbeth, told from the point of view of the witches? You can bet I was on board for this. The art is gorgeous and brutal; it's well worth the read.
