There are so many books which should be a movie, but this one is up near the top of my list. #seasonsreadings2016 #shouldbeamovie

AWahle I love that book. My cover from middle school is in one of my boxes... May have to use this as my E book for #LitsyAtoZ since it has been over 30 years since I read it. 8y
RealLifeReading You always come up with books I've never heard of! this one really sounds amazing! 8y
GlitteryOtters @RealLifeReading this is a really good book. I stumbled upon it during junior high school & just fell in love with it. The sequel is really good too. 8y
GlitteryOtters @AWahle I was so excited when this hardcover was published because my old paperback copy from, I think, 1990 had become so battered that it was in desperate need of replacement. You know you reread a book too often when it is completely falling apart after only a decade or so of ownership. 😂😂 8y

One of my favorite things about reading is that every new book I pick up is a potential future favorite. Here are a few (not even close to all) that have made the "favorites" list over the years. #augustphotochallenge #day9 #alltimefavebooks

TheNextBook Where did you get that copy of Harry Potter? The new house versions of Philosopher's Stone will be coming out next year and I need to get them! 8y

[DELETED] 2232195534 I love The Witch Of Blackbird Pond! Such a good book!! 8y
AmyS @TheNextBook I got that copy at an indie store in Canada last year. They had 1-7 with that style cover but I only bought 1-3 because I was trying to be frugal. I deeply regret my decision. 😔 (I have seen those covers at other stores here in the US but I'm holding out for the British versions.) 8y
AmyS @Gayan @kaysreadinglife That's my new copy. I read my original paperback so many times it fell apart. 😊 8y
Gayan @AmyS I bought that version for my granddaughter. 8y
Eyelit I just watched The Martian tonight. How does it compare to the book? It's been on my tbr forever but took the lazy way out and just watched (telling myself I'll move it up the tbr list) 8y
AmyS @Eyelit I haven't watched the movie yet but I hear good things. The book is a quick, fun read. Everyone I've recommended it to really enjoyed it. 8y
AmyS @Gayan It's so pretty that I couldn't resist. I hope your granddaughter likes it. 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Eyelit The movie was very good, but as is usually the case, the book was even better. They had to cut a few things out to make the movie fit (timewise) that I missed seeing in the film, plus the book had even more of the Watney humor. 😉 8y
Eyelit Thanks @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 😀 I think I'll move the book up the tbr list 8y

Some books are enjoyable; they feel like coming home.
Some books are enjoyable; they wrought you to your core.
This book was one of the latter.
How aware we all must be of the consequences of our choices.
How aware we all must be of the fragility and beauty of existence.

One of those sentences that just makes you close the book, close your eyes, smile and sigh.
