pick🎧📚 Book 2 in the Red Dwarf Duology. I‘m reviewing it again … cuz I read it again 😄
Slowly all of the crew (Lister, Cat, Rimmer, Kryton) are lured into a VR game (for years) which lets them live ... Better than Life … their desires are totally overblown in each of their lives.
Holly & Talkie Toaster have to save them before Lister dies.
Now I want to watch the TV series! 4 day marathon weekend coming up maybe!

pick🎧 There are 4 Red Dwarf novels. This is the 2nd in the first duology. I‘ve read these books multiple times. This time around I listened.
Rimmer narrates & it is FANTASTIC!!
If you‘ve seen this tv show you will recognize the story! The crew play BTL and as each goes in to rescue the last they all eventually are absorbed in a game created by their individual desires. It‘s HILARIOUS!!

Better Than Life was the last book Rob Grant & Doug Naylor wrote together as Grant Naylor. In the mid-90s they parted ways & each wrote their own Red Dwarf novel. I haven't read these for awhile, but I recall thinking that alone, neither's writing could achieve the same magic they'd accomplished together. I think I liked Backwards better than Last Human because part of it was based on scripts they wrote together. #Publishedinthe90s #Photoadaynov16
This was more difficult than I imagined! I chose to focus on read books, but seeing them all together made me realize that some of these are overdue for a re-read! I'm looking forward to reading the Red Dwarf and Landover books again! #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge #bookrainbow
