Maria Merian studied insects & painted beautiful illustrations of metamorphosis, Mary Anning collected fossils & changed the views on history & Maria Mitchell was fascinated with the Stars & found a new comet.

This an absolutely beautiful book filled with history, information and powerful girls!
I absolutely loved how quick and easy to read this book was but it was also very powerful being non fiction stories. I also really enjoyed that this book was written in verse, I have never read in verse before and I enjoyed it!

Looking for a book for my daughter's friend who is turning 8 and announced, on the second day I knew her -- she was three, that she was going to be an astrophysicist when she grows up, and this book pops out at me!

It was shelved in the very wrong place for the book but the very right place to catch my attention! I knew right away it was the right book!

And yes, I got a copy for my daughter as well 😊

I received this in my December book subscription box and finally got around to reading it yesterday. It was my first time reading a book written in verse and I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed reading it ! This isn't a book I would normally pick up myself but I'm glad I got it 😊
