And 4 years later she‘s finally finished the series.
Mostly because I took to much time between books and forgot major things this one scraped a 4. Maybe I‘ll reread one day and not leave so much time between books that I forget stuff.

So much better than the previous in this series. The Epilogue is definitely the most cliff-hangerish of the five and I can see why fans of the series are frustrated by the slothly manner in which GRRM cranks out material. We may never know how it all ends, and be left with the speculation of and alternate ending produce by the television production.
@Smarkies: Mad props for sticking it out through a book that wasn't really holding your attention! That's a lot of pages to wade through. Two thumbs up for persistence and perseverance. 👍 👍

This has sat on my shelf in the hope that the author will finish the series. This seems unlikely in the near future... so decided to tackle this for both #booked2022 #adaptedforthesmallscreen and #chunksterchallenge2022. It took me 3 months longer than I initially expected owing to the fact that Martin constantly meanders and lost my attention at times. I will still continue reading the series (if any) but was at times disengaged with this one.
I love a good book map 😍❤️

For Wednesday‘s #bookquote, I‘m sharing this quote from A Dance With Dragons by George R.R. Martin. This is my favorite quote from the A Song Of Ice And Fire book series. I read the book series and watched the tv show for the first time in 2019 and I really enjoyed it. The way the 5th book ended made me think another book was coming but I‘ve accepted that it might not happen. I‘ve also accepted that the author may not finish writing the series.
Some series continuations I‘d really like to get to before the end of the year.
This is SO true! What do you think? Books have brought me everywhere. Into the past, to the future, to different countries. I can experience so much for the cost of a library card.

Although there are still a lot of stories to be told in this series I enjoyed the books, the world of Westeros is such a fascinating journey.
I hope George drops Winds of Winter soon.
If I had to rank these five books it would probably be:
1.º a storm of swords
2.º a game of thrones
3.º a feast for crows
4.º a dance with dragons
5.º a clash of kings

“Mother of dragons, Daenerys thought.
Mother of monsters. What have I unleashed upon the world? A queen I am, but my throne is made of burned bones, and it rests on quicksand.
Without dragons, how could she hope to hold Meereen, much less win back Westeros? I am the blood of the dragon, she thought.
If they are monsters, so am I.”
“Bear Island knows no king but the King in the North, whose name is STARK.”

It can only be The Dance with Dragons from the great A song of Ice and Fire series.
@Clwojick
I‘m about a fifth into the book so far, and already it‘s 💯 better than Feast of Crows. My only critique at this point is that sometimes it‘s difficult enough to keep track of the myriad of characters, but now GRRM is jumping around in the timeline as well.
I can‘t sleep so I‘m reading this amazing fifth book of the series while my fiancé and my one dog sleeps beside me and my German Shepherd slips in and out of the room. Oh how I hate insomnia.

With at least 2 hours in, I'm at the middle of A Dance With Dragons. -- I'm impressed to see Duolingo has lessons in High Valyrian 😄 Currently I'm dedicated to Japanese and German, while reaching the top score (30 people in a leaderboard) with my studies.

I'm back to my Game of Thrones reading, during this ongoing 3rd shutdown in Ontario; news again by the 20th. Here's a clue on what else I've been up to lately
New bookshelf dragons! 🐉💕📚 #dragonsoflitsy
Hi all! -- Sorry I've been away and sleeping in again. I found myself in a bit of the reading slumps, but really getting into the pen pal (Slowly app) writing, throughout March. -- I'm finally back to work at the restaurant this week! I'm yet again, reshuffling my reads, and resuming A Dance with Dragons.
I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 43.

My pick is fictional. Samwell Tarly from the ASOIAF books. He may not have the brawn, but he has the brains. When faced with a dilemma, he dives into books for a solution.
Thanks for the tag @IndoorDame 😊
It took a little over a month, but just finished this audio while jigsaw puzzling on this gorgeous day. While I know I‘ll read/listen to the next book whenever it comes out, this was probably my least favorite so far. #bookspinbingo #scarathlon #teamslaughter #readmyowndamnbooks 6pts
I hope I‘m not making a mistake 😬 the last one ended well.

I have a hard time ending a series without finishing it.
Reading Dance with Dragons , last Game of Thrones at the moment, would highly recommend the book series!

A local friend of mine, makes some really cool soap bar dragon eyes, and crystal clusters. 🤓🐲 These go on my bookshelf, while I'm looking forward to one of her 'King of the North' minty marble bars. This weekend has a marketplace event for more!
Remember who you are, what you were made to be. Remember your words.
She did not feel beautiful. She felt old, used, filthy, ugly. There were stretch marks on her belly from the children she had borne, and her breasts were not as firm as they had been when she was younger.
This is my review for a book I just finished reading. Now, I will be waiting for the Winds Of Winter like everyone else. I‘m not ready to let go of this world yet so I will be reading #aknightofthesevenkingdoms next.
