Pickpick

#BookReport

The tagged book is a light pick. I loved most of this book but there is a part that didn‘t move the story forward that I didn‘t think was needed and the ending was weak. There are some good nuggets in The Things You Can See.

#WeeklyForecast

I‘ve just started Black Woods and it‘s getting a bit weird. Also just started Wintering. Loving Wedding People. Sense & Sensibility is lovely as always.

Last week was a slow reading week, but I made progress with the tagged book and finished The Aeneid. I still need to take notes on 5 of the books, but I am satisfied with having finished it. Next week I will be starting Witness because I really want to catch up to the series before the new book comes out.

I absolutely loved revisiting the world of Oz, and I‘m so excited for the next one. Ozma of Oz is one of my favorites. 💚

Butterfinger As a child, I read Ozma so many times. I would finish and restart it. Oh, how I loved that book. 3d

Finished the Louis L'Amour book-I loved it. Great overview of L'Amour's work but also the authenticity that L'Amour put into his books. Recommended for Western fans.
One Winter Up North was a cute book about camping up north in the Boundary Waters in the winter. Recommended.
Still working on Penman. Enjoying it just a chunky book.
Next weekend, as a break from medieval England, will by the hygge book.

Definitely a day (almost two!) late on this #bookreport. Plus this is two weeks worth of reading. It was definitely a random selection of books these two weeks. No real reason, just moody. 🤪

Prairiegirl_reading I just heard about the second ending today but now this post is the third time! What did you think of it? 1w
BookNAround @prairiegirl_reading I liked it. It was a bit different than I expected and it took a long time to get to the competition because there were a bunch of other storylines that were as important to the plot as it was. I will say it was a touch fluffy but that worked for me when I read it. 1w

Pretty good reading week even if I only finished a single short story and a novel. The Aeneid is proving to be a whole project so I'm treating it like I treated Lud in the Mist, making various notes about the symbolism and history. It's been pretty interesting. It is a lot, but I will most likely finish it this week.

Doppoetry If I really need something to listen to as I game or draw I can pop Drizzt in, to gently force myself further through the series. 😂 1w
