One of my fav coffee table books to pull out for the spooky season. A young girl presses fairies between the pages of her diary. Never thought I'd enjoy seeing squished and squashed fairies, but here we are.

pickWhat a weird, strange, fascinating book. Diary entries of a girl who collects fairies by squishing them between the pages of her book, like pressing flowers. Lots of illustrations of squished fairies, so you‘ll need a good sense of humour! Captivating all the same!

What a strange cool book. It reads like diary entries with illustrations of fairies. It is supposed to be a true diary of Lady Cottington and her real account of the faeries. Very interesting.
pickRemember the old story of a British girl who saw real fairies and took pictures of them? Well this book is making fun of that. This is the journal of a little girl who is studying the fairies, and pressing them between the pages of the book like flowers. You must have a sense of humor because their are lots of drawing of squished fairies, but I found it quite amusing. 😈

This one is hilarious! Actual real life faeries squashed between every page with 'hand written' entries. The illustrations are irreverent but, like everything thing Brian Froud is responsible for, utterly wonderful.
