one of the diary entries.
one of the faeries.
Book 135 of 2019
What a strange cool book. It reads like diary entries with illustrations of fairies. It is supposed to be a true diary of Lady Cottington and her real account of the faeries. Very interesting.
Remember the old story of a British girl who saw real fairies and took pictures of them? Well this book is making fun of that. This is the journal of a little girl who is studying the fairies, and pressing them between the pages of the book like flowers. You must have a sense of humor because their are lots of drawing of squished fairies, but I found it quite amusing. 😈
As I have seen my dream of starting a Little Free Library and/or a Boîte à livre anywhere in my city dwindle to nothing, I have decided to join The Book Fairies movement. I have books to give, to liberate from my shelves, and darn it, I'm gonna do it. So there.
After my paranormal phase I moved on to faeries. I have soooo many books on the subject. Here are a selection of my favourites. 1 of 4.
This one is hilarious! Actual real life faeries squashed between every page with 'hand written' entries. The illustrations are irreverent but, like everything thing Brian Froud is responsible for, utterly wonderful.
Day 24: Classic Movie Monster
I do not partake in scary.
But GOBLINS are found in scary movies, right!?! 😱 👻 🎥
This book is one of my all time favorites. If you do not own a copy, go get one.
