Ok Littens I need help finding a book I started reading a year ago and didn‘t finish before it was due back. I remember some of the plot; it had a Russian soldier that was a robot or android and he teamed up with a woman who was maybe a historian? They were on the run from an evil android after them and I think they hid at a church but that‘s all I remember 😬

My #secretsantagoespostal #wintersolsticebookswap gifts are already making a home for themselves in my home. The knit goods are cozying up to yarn I left on the family room coffee table, tea is in the tea cabinet (Yes, a whole cabinet for hot drinks), Harry Potter jumped into my school bag after a stop on my shelf, & "Android Karenina" is making friends with "Jane Slayre," "Little Women & Werewolves," P&P&Zombies & S&S&Seamonsters.

Melli I love it! I'm doing some knitting right now also, scarfs for my daughters two besties. Just made a yarn run at Walmart I didn't have enough to make the scarf needed an extra ball. 7y

Talk about a #secretsantagoespostal who knows me! Thank you @Melli ! I'm going to take a couple more photos later to show just how fitting these gifts are for me, but wanted to thank you & let you know that your package made my day. I did stay up last night but was cranky for it & decided to open it today. Then, I couldn't decide on opening it before or after work. I unwrapped all my goodies this morning & it's put a smile on my face all day!

Melli I just realized I forgot to weave in the ends of the yarn. Lol kinda embarrassing.. But that's ok you can either snip them or weave them in. I'm sorry about that, with kids sometimes things slip my mind. On another note I am so glad you like your gifts, I was nervous about android karina. I'm glad that it made you smile. 😊 I actually also have the book so if you ever wanna buddy read it. Let me know (edited) 7y
beaniebankbeth @Melli Don't worry about it. That made me so happy that you knit & crocheted me stuff. Are you on Ravelry? Want to be friends on Ravelry? I knit & crochet too. 🐑😊 7y

beaniebankbeth @Melli I need to read the original Tolstoy first & I think I'm going to either do an audio book or @SerialReader subscription of that first. I have a bunch of books in this sub-genre, including "Pride &Prejudice & Zombies" & "Little Women & Werewolves," it'll be in good company on my book shelf. 7y
beaniebankbeth @Melli And hp for my class is PERFECT. ?☇I already have several Potter things going on in my room, like sorting the kids into groups & homework passes that say "Expelliarmus!" Also, the first convo my #ninjahubby & I ever had was about hp, so this book choice could not be better 7y
beaniebankbeth @Melli And you're in the Philly area too?! 😲😄 We should meet up! ...after the hustle & bustle of the holidays, though. 7y
Melli I would like that very much i know ur in jersey but I don't drive long distances since I just got my license not that long ago but we can definitely meet up in center city 7y
Melli I knew you were a HP fan and so my thought was why not share it with your class. I wasn't sure what grade you taught but you said middle school so I figured it would be ok. Plus whenever I can give book for a students class library I will gladly do so. I have donated many books to my girls school library when they moved buildings and finally had a real library.can you believe I just now started reading the series. I'm on book 3. 7y

Pickpick

Totoro and his Class III companion Sootball both enjoyed Android Karenina. He didn't think androids could work in the novel, but it did. The original was much better, of course, but this was entertaining enough. The take on how androids would work and interact with human beings was thought provoking too.
