pickI wanted to like this book, but it was just too weird. The paranormal piece came out of nowhere and the end romance added absolutely nothing to the story. I wanted a psychological thriller, not a story about has been drunk, idiot man who plots to murder his rich wife, and a creepy AF paranormal serial killer. Book #101 in 2024
22 #101 I‘ve been reading this series for a while. The protagonist gets less and less likable. I don‘t think we would be friends. This one went a little preachy and political. One of the characters laments giving a baby up for adoption rather than aborting him because she felt he didn‘t have a good life and died young. Ummm ..so no life at all would have been better? Don‘t get me started. Every character in this book is so self absorbed
pickListened to this audiobook yesterday - it‘s only 4 hours - and it was so funny! I mean with a hero by the name of Hiccup, how could it not be. As part of his initiation to his Viking tribe, he has to capture and train a dragon. Loved his method. I laughed out loud at the antics of the Vikings and dragons.
