With that title I didn‘t know what to expect about this graphic novel😳Well, I was surprised!😃 I found a lovely sapphic graphic novel. I loved the topics: family support, friendship, identity, acceptance, relationships.. So nice, cute, lovely story. It has funny parts. 3⭐️ Book was part of #LGBTBookClub 2023 @AbigailJaneBlog

Headed to see "Wendy and Peter Pan" in Stratford with a friend and her littles, so I thought I'd brush up on the original story. My memory of the story had been clouded, by Disney and time so I'm glad I did. Looking forward to the new-to-me interpretation. #44-2024

A very fake, too good to be true tale that made me shake my head and furrow my brow constantly. Nobody has that kind of luck. It gives off girl finding herself vibes, but misses the mark with too many lucky breaks. Book #44 in 2024

I‘m in a slump…of sorts. I tried to read 8-10 different books in the past month and couldn‘t get past the first chapter in any. I think I‘m so overloaded that nothing new sinks in. Fortunately, I‘ve been able to enjoy my ongoing series. I read the above 6 books in quick succession. Echoes in Death is book #44…and still going strong! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it‘s been just 3 years in Eve and Roarke time. Yay. Hope that means another 44 books. 😜

#ReadAway2024 #FabulousFebruary #20in4

I finished my 3rd book for the #Roll100 challenge (#44) On my #BOTM stack, I‘m glad I finally got to it. It‘s a lighter pick for me. I loved the setting of The Cloisters. I was in NYC in 2008 & we spent the day there (my first & only time seeing it) & I loved how atmospheric it was & thought the author captured that well. The arts, antiquities & academic aspects were interesting as was the tarot card ⬇️

DebinHawaii …details. It did drag a bit in the set up & I wished I liked the MC or any of the characters more. Still overall, it held my interest & had me Googling more information on multiple subjects, so while not a favorite of the month, still a pick . 8mo

So excited that I got this so quickly on Libby. I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend an Audible credit on this book so I was thrilled Libby released it so quickly. I knew this would be a great listen with the infamous narrator, Kate Mara, whose voice is entrancing. So far I'm enthralled, the narration is excellent, although, I think the impact would be stronger with two narrators. But other than that I'm dying to see what happens next!

MonicaLoves2Read I have a crazy question. Why do you use Audible when you can get free audiobooks from Libby🤷 1y
IndianBookworm I have a major deja-vu reading this book's synopsis. I have read a book with a super similar storyline and am actually forgetting the name. 1y
Q84 @Monica5 I too use Audible and Libby. For me, sometimes a book is free on Audible. Also, Libby has wait lists for 216 people sometimes x 14 days each plus the 24-48 hr each to check it out. It's nice to just pop over to Audible if it's a "dying to read" book. 1y

MonicaLoves2Read @Q84 oh, okay! I was just wondering. I have noticed on most of my audios the waits not as long as Libby says 1y
Q84 @Monica5 True. It all depends on the book and the library you go through. One place I lived in, I had books on hold for a year, waiting to read them. Now, where I live, they don't have a lot of options, so I usually buy the books I want unless it's a YA book or a couple of years older. The big cities and connected libraries tend to have the best selections and can buy more based on their needs. 1y
MonicaLoves2Read @Q84 My library is tied into a bigger one. I do have to wait awhile for a book that's really popular. I have such a long TBR list, that it doesn't really matter if I have to wait. I'm also disabled, so I go for the free route whenever I can. 1y
BookLineNSinker Thank you @Monica5! @Q84 I got a little restless because I forgot to check Libby's new releases on Saturdays and Tuesdays to get my hold on the book quickly. Instead, I was #44 on the wait-list for this book. I splurge a lot on Audible because I have a long commute so I'm always looking for the next great thriller, which results in me getting antsy and buying so I don't have to wait 44 x16 days lol. 1y
Q84 @BookLineNSinker Same here! I have an hr one way with no traffic, so I get that. 1y

Eh, I had high hopes because I loved The Guest List. But the writing was choppy and ths ending was too happy for me 🤷🏼‍♀️. I was expecting something darker and more sinister. I mean, you can‘t get much worse than their night club but…. I give this 3 stars, there‘s definitely a good mystery here but it‘s not Foley‘s best work. Book #44 in 2023
