The Man Who Fought Alone | Stephen R. Donaldson
post image

5 books completed in August (6 if I count book 1 in The Giver Quartet). The last book of “The Man Who” series was a bit slow to start but when it got going, I was hooked. My #DiscworldReread is on pause until my hubby gets a few books ahead. This is his first time reading them & he‘s been tearing through them at a good pace but I read fast so I caught up! In the meantime, I decided to reread Good Omens. #AugustStats #ExcellentWrapup #AugustABC

Repost for @Eggs :
Thanks to everyone who played #Augustabc with me💗🌺💗😍. I love reading all your responses 🥰🥳

Here is September‘s challenge: just tag/post a book and post a photo that, in your heart and mind, fits the daily prompt.

How can it be September already?? I hope yours will be wonderful!!

#DaringAdventure

I know I have posted this one before. Yet, I can't think of a better boon for the prompt. It is the ideal daring adventure.

Eggs Great choice! I think I used adventure at the beginning of the month 😳🤪 too 5y
TheSpineView @Eggs Yeap. I had to look because I couldn't remember. No worries! 😋 5y

This is the story of the astonishing journey by raft across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands, led by Norwegian explorer-writer Thor Heyerdahl in 1947. Their only modern equipment is a radio, and they must navigate using the stars and ocean currents. After 3 exhausting months at sea, they achieve their goal. Not read the book but I‘ve watched the documentary film, a great retelling of the #daringadventure . #augustabc

KathyWheeler I‘ve read the book several times — I was obsessed with it when I was younger. 5y
