How much ignorance in that first sentence? Even if history is still taught appallingly in France, I hope French journalists would know better now. We have more information now, but still only my friends from Caraïbes could open my eyes to all that happened there.

I have loved Alan Rickman since the first time I saw Die Hard all those years ago and still can‘t quite believe he‘s gone, so it was bittersweet getting to know him a bit from his diaries. I‘m glad I knew going in that these are jottings rather than a smooth narrative, and I think this is best enjoyed a bit at a time. The audio has part of an interview with Alan at the end and it was a bit melancholy hearing his voice.

wanderinglynn It‘s heartbreaking that he‘s gone. He was one of my fave actors. 😔 2d
Soubhiville The B&N box arrived today 😁. I‘ve written your name on it and stuck it under the tree. Thank you! 1d
Hooked_on_books @Soubhiville You‘re so welcome! It‘s actually been in your area since the first of the month, so maybe it was taking in the sights before getting to you. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 I‘m glad it found it‘s way to you! (edited) 1d
Soubhiville It‘s the time of year that shipping gets weird. I hope your box will get to you soon too! 1d

In Pieces | Sally Field
post image
Pickpick

In this memoir, Sally focuses mainly on her childhood. She shares the stories of her broken family growing up, & all the hardships she endured. When she does move onto her acting career, she focuses mainly on the beginning of it, how she longed to do more serious work but felt stuck in sitcom TV. In the end the main theme is her relationship with her mother throughout their lives. It‘s not my favorite memoir by any means, but it was worth reading.

Open: An Autobiography | Andre Agassi

Mehso-so

This story is both incredible and astonishing. Andre Agassi is someone I have liked but now completely respect and have well of compassion for. I remember cheering both for and against him and now I will only cheer for him. What a life he was first forced to lead and now chooses to do so. Don‘t need to be a fan to enjoy it.

Incredible courage from Garza to reveal and publish in detail her journey through addiction. So many valuable lessons learned from her.

This was my nonfiction book in November, a really fascinating insight to Bernadino Evaristo. Her life's journey so far. Definitely must read more of her books.
