⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An amazing end to Kyoshi's story. The farther I got in the book, the more worried I was that it wouldn't come around in a satisfying way. But it tied off all the right loose ends while leaving enough room for more story to be imagined. It had me on the edge of my seat and screaming at the top of my lungs in anticipation and frustration. Compared to the first book, this one falls in second, but it's still easily five stars.

Joining @TheAromaofBooks in the #JustOneMoreChapter weekend readathon!

My first goal is to finish my current read, The Shadow of Kyoshi. Given how fast I'm reading this, I don't think it'll be a challenge.

My second goal is to read at least four hours this weekend. I have work a couple of these days, so we'll see how much time I actually get to spend reading.

Bonus: Tea time with my book :)

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! Enjoy!!! 4w

Started this one today, I'm already so in love with these new characters. Can't wait to dive back into this world and see more of Kyoshi and Rangi!

My sister made this for me! I‘m painting the words and the books, but should I paint the cubes or the numbers?!

PuddleJumper What a great idea! 2mo
dabbe I like the numbers being painted so that they really stand out. What a cool gift! 💜🧡💛 2mo

ImperfectCJ What an awesome counter! I can imagine it looking cool either way, but like others, I'm leaning towards painted numbers. 2mo
TheBookHippie So cool!! 2mo
Ruthiella Definitely paint the numbers in black or some contrast colors! 🌈 2mo

Since I am currently reading a series and after that am reading a strongly recommended book, I decided to roll my #bookspin result as the next in line, whether or not I actually get to it this month. It‘s unlikely, but I‘ll just keep adding to the list each time! My #doublespin is also underlined, but I won‘t be putting it on the next-up list.

This is one of the better Avatar comics. This one had a good story and gave some background to some of the characters.

I wasn‘t sure how I felt about Avatar Roku getting a book. This story shares so many similar themes and mentions from the show. Some felt forced. I did like how it went back and forth between POV of Soizen and Roku. This is about Roku being a fire royal friends with the prince and how it affects his view on the world. Best character was Gyasto here, as Rokus friend before he becomes an airbending master.

Is this story predictable? Yes. Is it incredibly enjoyable to spend more time with some of the most fun characters ever? Also, yes. I love setting this story in the early days of Zuko's reign as Fire Lord. It won't knock you off your feet, but it's terrific comfort food.
