Is this story predictable? Yes. Is it incredibly enjoyable to spend more time with some of the most fun characters ever? Also, yes. I love setting this story in the early days of Zuko's reign as Fire Lord. It won't knock you off your feet, but it's terrific comfort food.

Some reason my indie sold it to me early. Not complaining. Though this is my least favorite Avatar novella; dragged a bit. Yangchen is known for her balance of the spirits. Yet here she is with a spy ring, lying and conniving. Which wears down on her, while still very young. So much goes wrong for her and humanity. What was hard to read was the push and pull of her spirit. Wanted more. Shes so haunted. Sparky-spark-boom-man‘s ability history #atla

This was my #doublespin book for this month. I enjoyed it a lot more than the last one, not gonna lie. I am obsessed with the world of the avatar. I need more lol @TheAromaofBooks

Jjaxn95 I just finished watching Avatar for the first time and now I‘m watching the Legend of Korra! I quickly became obsessed, it‘s a great world! What kind of books are there? 1y

Yangchen would do whatever it took for peace. She was cunning and sometimes sneaky, but she cared deeply and was determined to help everyone around her. This story was slow going, it was more of a spy novel. Not sure how I felt with this Kuvik having more book time than her, but it worked out. Not as hyped as Kyoshi novels, still worth reading. Hoped for a more uncertain avatar to follow how she became known for her determination

Her expression of Air Nomad grace was all the stronger for the troubled twist of her lips. "I'm hoping I can change such attitudes before they become permanent. Let a problem last for too long and people begin to believe it's not a problem."

I‘m always excited to read about the Avatar. Yangchen resonates with me because of her being known basically for starting out being wishy-washy and evolving into very decisive. I‘m working on my decision making. Hoping I‘ll learn more on that then just Avatar lore. She‘s a mysterious avatar I feel. Really only other airbender besides Aang.
Also, love this bookmark. My zodiac element is earth. That explains my adoration of Kyoshi

Did I absolutely adore this book my husband picked for us to listen to on long drives? Yes! Do you have to be an Avatar fan to enjoy it? No, but it's even better if you are. This book was such a fun telling of Kyoshi's beginning and what the world of Avatar looked like 300ish years before the show. It's a super fun ride. The characters are delighfup, the action is suspenseful, and the punches are not pulled. #Avatar #TransmediaStories #LGBTQ
