Getting a quick post up now as tomorrow is an all-day work retreat 😵‍💫

Chapter 30: Miss Julia is wed & Anne & Eliza steal away to the Amherst garden where Eliza tells Anne her father‘s friend, Mr. Andrews has asked to speak with her after the wedding breakfast. She will give him the answer she “must.” Anne professes her love & asks Eliza to go to Kent with her as her “companion” & without her⬇️

DebinHawaii …own money Eliza feels must be practical-at least as a wife she will have standing. Anne counters that if she will choose a life of dependence, wouldn‘t she rather have affection. Eliza says affection would be lovely put impossible. Anne returns to the FWs where she spends 4 days in bed with Spinner worried & Mrs FW annoyed. On the 5th day she thinks of Miss Hall & although she thinks she would be happy that Anne is healthy & whole now, she has ⬇️ 2y

DebinHawaii … not done all Miss Hall wished of her. Anne feels she needs to make her own choices & see what‘s waiting at home, so she finally picks up a pen & begins to write to her steward.

IndoorDame I think Anne is ready to take on her mother. She‘s gotten so much stronger! She‘s learned how to ask for what she wants, and say no to what she doesn‘t. And she no longer has anything else exciting to look forward to besides managing Rosings Park. 2y

suvata I feel kind of bad for Anne but I‘m also happy for her because I‘m pretty sure she is ready to go to Rosings Park and take on her mother. She has gotten so much stronger both physically and mentally. 2y
