Shady Hollow | Juneau Black

Think I‘ve entered my cozy mystery era right in time for fall. Both books were fun and easy to relax and immerse yourself into. Shady Hollow had a slower pace and less threat to the main character, so a little more cozier vibe. Definitely going to finish both series

While trying to avoid attention, Tao stumbles into an adventuring party‘s quest and builds a found family along the way. This is charming and funny, with sweet characters. A low pick because it just reads like someone‘s D&D campaign with slightly flat characters and underdeveloped side characters and elements of the story. #Fantasy #FortuneTelling #Cozy

Kenyazero Used for #GottaCatchEmAll Lillipup: a character with facial hair @puddlejumper; and #OwlHouseReadathon Tibbles: a silly name (edited) 4h

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved the first two books of this series, so I was a bit disappointed when I didn‘t enjoy this volume as much in comparison. Because of this, it took me a very long time to finish this book, however I still enjoyed the story and the characters.

If The Spellshop was a fuzzy blanket for my spirit, this book was a gentle hearthfire, warming right down to the depths of me.

In this book, we get to meet Terlu Perna, who created the sentient talking spider plant, Kaz, and paid a steep price for it.

From forgiveness and redemption to self-discovery and healing, Durst covers a range of topics without straying from her characteristic cozy style and stunning imagery.

100% recommend!

Leo and Grim begrudgingly go on a quest together to remove a curse that binds them together. This was such an incredibly fun read! Adventure around every turn of the page. I wound up reading through the climax twice before finishing the book to take it all in again. #LGBTQIA #MusicMagic #Fantasy

Kenyazero Used for #LGBTQIA2025 A musician; #GottaCatchEmAll Pikipek: features a musician and instrument on cover @puddlejumper; and #OwlHouseReadathon Stringbean: an intense or epic ending 2d
PuddleJumper I really enjoyed this. Looking forward to her other works 2d

I enjoyed this book, but don't think I will continue - not my fav, it was “okay“. I do really love the idea of this little town with a bunch of cute little bookstores! I would definitely go to that town!

It‘s been a minute and truthfully I‘ve been hiding😂 This world is wild man. We were on vacation Labor Day week, and staring the week before to now it feels like one horror after the next. But I resolve to spend more time reading and consuming positive content! Got this lovey and final (finally lol) #cbbc package in the mail!

Gemma Doyle finds what has the potential to be a valuable historical document hidden in her shop. When she tries to return it to the. woman she is convinced left it, she discovers her dead body. As she tries to solve the mystery, it seems to put a kibash on her relationship with the local detective. 3.5-4⭐️
