OutsmartYourShelf I enjoyed this one a lot more, thought it was faster paced. Could have done without the animal cruelty bits but at least they were fairly brief. 1mo

AnneCecilie I enjoyed book 1, but this was so much better and a reminder of why I love these books so much. It‘s like Sansom knew his characters and put us in the action of things so much sooner than in the first book (edited) 1mo

The relationships between Shardlake and Guy (taken over from the 1st book) and now Shardlake and Barak are the mainstays of this book. That\'s what I love most about these characters, and I can\'t wait to see them move on to the next one! 1mo
lil1inblue I really liked this one. Barak was a great character, and I just love how he challenges Shardlake. The pacing was excellent. I\'m looking forward to the next one. 1mo
